Genesis Learning Center @ Airport, 5621 Corrugated Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Richmond Lodge, 10022 Elks Pass Lane – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soda gun nozzle at the bar found with heavy build up inside; observed grease and food residue on non-food contact surfaces (shelves, drawers, interiors of fridge/freezer and exteriors of equipment); observed grease on floors under the cook line; ceiling tiles are not smooth and easily cleanable.

Einstein Brothers Bagels, 1368 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: swiss cheese and several cream cheeses in the right side of the make table has slightly elevated temperatures; no dates were found on sousvide eggels, burrito mixture, pepperoni and bacon; no time-tracking found on hashbrown bagels; observed dead flies in front cold case; wet cloths found up front instead of storing them in sanitizer between uses; observed laminate peeling on cabinets; front handsink, gasket to small Bev Air, cabinet under ice bin and baking racks are in need of cleaning; ice machine does not shut off automatically so it ran on to the floor flooding part of the kitchen; ceiling panels by the oven, walls behind shelving, floors throughout and freezer floor are dirty.

Subway Sandwiches & Salads, 4386 S. Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Groovin’ Gourmets, 8501 Sanford Drive – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

SEPT. 22

Target, 9001 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: high temp on the facility’s dishwasher does not work; observed cheese and food debris on the pizza rack in the reach-in.

Firehouse Subs at White Oak, 4501 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed a build-up of mildew on the shield of ice machine; the temperature of white soup in hot holding unit is too low; roast beef, ham and turkey in one door reach-in have elevated temperatures; observed small flies in the mop area and under three-compartment sink; observed two live roaches; no test kit for measuring sanitizer; observed 0 ppm of sanitizer in sanitizer bucket; build-up of grime found on racks, gaskets, sinks and outside of equipment; observed food build-up under equipment and dirt build-up in drains and on the floor of three door reach-in; observed food splatter on the wall by slicer.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 4450 S. Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

SEPT. 23

Bree’s Playhouse Daycare and Learning Center, 1156 Wilkinson Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food debris inside utensil drawers and on utensils; observed homestyle fryer on the countertop and should be removed; establishment does not have mechanical ventilation in the kitchen.

Little Szechuan Restaurant, 10234 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: cutting boards are scratched; walk-in racks are rusty; cook line equipment and racks are dirty; observed a leak at the three-compartment sink; floors under the dishwasher and cook line need cleaning.

El Caporal, 1417 Eastridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed debris on knives in the knife holder and above three-compartment sink in the dish area; observed pink debris inside of tea nozzles at drink station in the back kitchen; cheese sauce in walk-in cooler has an elevated temperature; the temperature of refried beans, rice and cheese sauce on the hot line in the cook area is too low; observed chemical polish spray bottles, a band-aid box, hydrogen peroxide, gel and deodorant stored incorrectly next to food items; proper cooling methods were not used for chipotle sauce on prep table, white cheese sauce in chest freezer, lettuce in prep top unit on the cook line, and refried beans in walk-in cooler; observed tortilla bowls stored uncovered on a rack on the cook line; observed multiple to-go trays stored uninverted on cook line; cutting boards are heavily scratched; observed torn gasket in low boy unit on cook line and a gap greater than one-inch on hood filters on cook line; light bulb is out on hood system on cook line; observed debris/grease on light bulbs on the hood system, in between equipment, on a rack on cook line, outside of blender on prep table and on racks in the walk-in cooler; observed a sprayer nozzle under pressure (attached to hose) at mopsink in back kitchen; low grouting found on cook line in back kitchen; observed dust on ceiling vents and stains on the ceiling near cook line; observed debris on walls in the dish area.

SEPT. 24

Taco Bell, 11450 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed a build-up of grease on two fryers; ceiling tiles and lining are discolored; observed food debris under the fryers; dish area wall is soiled.
