Natalie’s Taste of Lebanon, 3601-A Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw ground beef improperly stored; observed slime in interior of ice machine; no date found on grape leaves, hummus and cheese pies; flour bin is unlabeled; in-use knife found stored between work stations; observed utensils stored in standing water; one light not working in hood; observed rust on shelves under flat top and chargrills; fryer cabinets found greasy; observed greasy build-up on the floor under the fryers.

Tony’s Italian Restaurant, 3409 Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed personal drinks without lids in the kitchen; handsink missing towels; observed open bags of flour; observed cut tomatoes nested on top of onions in the pizza table at an elevated temperature; no dates found on lasagna, cut turkey and tiramisu; observed cooked onions stored in a tightly-closed container without vents to allow heat to release; bags of flour for calamari are unlabeled; sanitizer is missing a chlorine test kit; interior of Frigidaire freezers and drawers under the three-compartment sink are dirty; observed a leak under the handsink; observed a hole in lower wall behind dishmachine.

Chung Hing Chinese Restaurant, 3053 Lauderdale Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no dates found on egg rolls, noodles and Gen Tso’s chicken; spray bottle of cleaner is unlabeled; observed cardboard boxes being reused for egg rolls and Walmart bags used for food; linen is covering food instead of a food grade material such as plastic wrap.

Qdoba, 11282 W. Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed pink mildew on the ice machine’s inner plate; containers were wet nested on the dish rack and turned sideways in a manner that prevents water drainage; cutting boards are scored and stained; observed rust on the dish rack; front handsink paper towel dispenser gets jammed repeatedly and doesn’t dispense towels which makes washed hands have to be inserted into the machine to get the towels.

Clubhouse Café, 3001 E. Parham Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: prep unit is out of service.

Shoredog Café, 435-B N. Ridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cooked mushroom and roasted bell peppers in the sandwich low boy unit were found at elevated temperatures; air temperature of the unit was elevated; there isn’t a consumer advisory statement on the menu; observed cheese and tomatoes in prep top unit were not cooled properly and had elevated temperatures; salts and sugars on prep table do not have labels; observed utensils stored on prep table in standing water; observed single service items not stored inverted in prep area; low boy and reach-in units have torn gaskets; air temperature of right side low boy unit was not cold enough; observed debris on side of hood system, outside of fryer at cook line and on back of slicer; handsink in the kitchen is slow to drain; observed chipping paint on the wall in the storage area.

La Frontera, 1412-C Starling Drive – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Ming’s Dynasty, 1200 N. Concord Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage posted in the men’s restroom; microwave needs cleaning; observed cabbage in walk-in cooler and chicken and noodles in prep unit at elevated temperatures; frozen shrimp was not thawed correctly; observed boxes of food on the floor in walk-in refrigerator; sides of equipment on the cookline need cleaning; floors throughout the facility, especially under the cookline, need cleaning; observed mop drying on the floor instead of hanging to air dry; hood filters and vent system need cleaning.

Organic Krush, 3406 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: sweet potatoes in make table, penne and orzo were improperly cooled and had elevated temperatures; no warning on four bottles of “shot;” observed holes in the wall beside ice machine.

AUG. 19

Chick-fil-A Short Pump Crossing, 3380 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed incorrect date on cut up chicken on the salad line; corn/bean mix was not thawed correctly; cup holders throughout the kitchen, breading unit near controls, fryer cabinets/supports and exterior of shake base dispenser need cleaning; dumpster found open; observed mildew on caulking behind three-compartment sink; observed torn film on freezer doors that should be removed; floors of walk-in freezer and trash room need cleaning.
