JUNE 30

Atlas 42, 4032-A Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: found several heavily scratched and discolored cutting boards; observed grease behind fryers and equipment at the cook line and dusty fan guard in the walk-in; observed mold/mildew on the door gasket of walk-in refrigerator.

Wingstop, 9048 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand soap in the women’s restroom needs refilling; observed wall at three-compartment sink and floor behind the ice machine soiled.

Jing Sushi, 7019-G Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed raw eggs, shrimp, chicken and crab stored improperly; found fried onion at an elevated temperature; fried onions in the prep top unit and chicken broth and spicy tuna in the walk-in closet and low boy unit did not have dates; did not observe escolar being listed under Orchid Roll on menu but rather white tuna; found foods stored on the floor of walk-in freezer and a box of ginger ale stored on the floor next to the back exit door in the kitchen; observed uninverted to-go trays on shelf above three-compartment sink; observed elevated air temperature of prep top unit and sushi display case; inoperable light bulb at hood system; observed a gap greater than one inch on hood filters in the kitchen; found heavily scratched cutting boards in back kitchen; observed debris on racks next to the reach-in unit, in between equipment, under fryers and on shelves on the cook line and sushi station; observed low grouting throughout the facility; observed debris on floors and walls on cook line and in sushi station and back kitchen under equipment.

Pizza Hut, 9197 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dried debris and residues on containers/utensil; gasket in large reach-in near the dish area needs replacing; observed pizza pans encrusted with grease; found all non-food contact surfaces (shelves, racks, equipment, etc.) dirty; floors, walls and ceiling throughout the facility need cleaning; light shield not observed on walk-in ceiling light; vent systems (ceiling and hoods) have a build-up of grease and/or dust.

The Beach House, 4040-B Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed moldy residue in soda gun nozzle at the bar and soda gun holders at a couple bars also need cleaning; milk in the bar refrigerator was found at an elevated temperature; observed grease on the side of the fryer and oven/shelving at cook line; observed soiled refrigerators at bar where glasses and liquor are stored; found floor at the bar in the game room soiled with spilled beverage and food debris.

JULY 2

Child Development Center @ Wyndham, 11601 Nuckols Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Rick’s Rock Café, 1500 Eastridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed raw eggs in reach-in and low boy units stored improperly; observed canned mushrooms at an elevated temperature; sides and bottom of exit door next to walk-in closet needs weather shielding; observed uninverted utensils on cook line on prep table; found torn gasket in low boy unit on the cook line and a leak under three-compartment sink/ice machine at the bar; observed mophead in the kitchen not hung up to dry; observed chipping paint on the wall in the dish area and near kitchen entrance.

Publix, 5400 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: cedar wood planks are used to cook salmon (if wood is not maple, it cannot be used as a food contact surface).

JULY 6

Deep Run Roadhouse, 12379 Gayton Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: found cutting board greasy with mildew and large kettle spout area needs cleaning; concentration of quat was greater than 400 ppm; sprayhose attachment is leaking; observed dumpster on gravel/dirt when it must be on concrete or asphalt; ceiling vent above hot wells needs cleaning.

Rico’s Mexican Grill, 11321-D Nuckols Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: carnitas and beans in the walk-in did not have dates; shrimp was prepped and put directly into the grill drawer instead of cooling first; observed mildew on the wall behind the dish machine.

Primrose School of Twin Hickory, 4801 Twin Hickory Lake Drive – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

JULY 7

Taco Bell, 4388 S. Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed build-up of mold like substance around the dispensers of the frozen drink machine; observed low grout in the dish area and around fryers; observed cracked floor tiles.

Roberto Italian Restaurant, 5550 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed moldy sauce in prep top; found slicer visibly soiled with food debris greater than one day old; observed cheese, ham and sausage in pizza prep unit at elevated temperatures; observed lettuce, cheese and deli meat in salad prep unit at elevated temperatures; observed ice scoop handle in contact with ice in the ice bin at the drink machine and the big ice bin in the back; found multiple torn gaskets on low boy units and spaghetti drawer; observed rusted racks in low boys, reach-in units and walk-ins.

Tuckaway-Innsbrook Child Development Center, 4617 Village Run Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed splatter residue on pan lids in the lower cabinet; found worn/stained cutting board at the three-compartment sink; ceiling tiles are not smooth and easily cleanable and should be replaced with restaurant grade tiles as they become damaged.

The Melting Pot, 9704 Gayton Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.
