Eggs Up Grill, 2238 John Rolfe Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide proof that staff is trained on employee health; management and employees are not aware or been informed of their responsibilities in reporting symptoms or diagnosis of diseases transmissible through food; both hand sinks in kitchen are missing paper towels; temperatures of Swiss cheese, American cheese and ham in prep unit and cooked chicken in walk-in cooler are elevated; several bags of cooked chicken in walk-in cooler are not date marked and person in charge doesn’t know how long they’ve been there; observed buildup of grease and food debris on fryers, grill, top of warmer cabinet and under grill; outdoor dumpster doors are not closed.
Arby’s, 4250 Pouncey Tract Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge states ice cream machine is cleaned every seven days but manual states it should be cleaned daily; temperatures of leafy lettuce and sliced tomato in prep unit and cooked chicken in walk-in cooler are elevated; several bags of cooked chicken in walk-in cooler are not date marked; cups of cooked spinach are tightly covered and stacked during the cooling process in reach-in cooler; vegetable peeler and scissors are stored in a sanitizer solution; in-use knives are stored in crevices between prep unit and table.

Classic’s, 4820 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no written employee health policy is present; multiple single cutting boards have heavy scarring; there are missing coving and wall juncture underneath three-compartment sink; coving is peeling alongside hand sink in prep area; hood filters at fry station hood system are bent and broken and there is a large gap present between filters.
The Mantu Afghan Modern Cuisine, 11636 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: container of meatboal in walk-in refrigerator is past its expiration date; pizza found sitting out on the counter at room temperature (time isn’t being tracked even though person in charge states that pizza is rotated out approximately every 2-3 hours); person in charge couldn’t provide written time policy procedures; spray bottle containing a reddish liquid is unlabeled; facility doesn’t have a food thermometer; hatch hinges are broken off the left side of the make table in back of kitchen; fryer baskets are in disrepair and have broken metal pieces; cardboard is lining the dry ingredients rack and take-out container rack; facility couldn’t provide sanitizer test strips; paint on ceiling tiles in kitchen is peeling.
Chianti Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria, 1304 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; person in charge couldn’t verify that staff has been trained on employee health; person in charge couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; person in charge couldn’t provide parasite destruction letter from salmon provider; raw ground beef is stored above whole raw pork, which is stored over pepperoni in walk-in cooler; several foods are stored uncovered in walk-in cooler; dried food debris found on slicer and vegetable peeler; temperatures of vodka sauce prepared yesterday and multiple buckets of tomato sauce in walk-in cooler are elevated; cooked vegetables, cooked pastas, sauces, deli meats in lowboy and cheeses are not date marked; to-go menu doesn’t contain a consumer advisory for steaks that can be cooked to order; several large buckets of sauce in walk-in cooler are covered during the cooling process; cell phone found on top of clean dish in prep area; several buckets of tomato sauce, raw chicken and shredded cheese are stored directly on walk-in cooler floor; pizza in walk-in cooler is stored in a non-food grade garbage bag; several plastic spatulas are dented and chipped; wooden pizza handle is chipped; ice machine lid and prep unit lid on cook line are loose; several plastic food containers are broken; cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained brown; several items/areas are dirty (racks throughout kitchen, gaskets of lowboy units along cook line and reach-in freezer near bar, exteriors of grills and fryers, glass chiller in bar, walk-in cooler ceiling and floor, and fan at cook line); floor tiles near bar are cracked; walk-in cooler handle is loose; observed stains and a mold-like substance on ceiling panels near walk-in cooler; there is dust buildup on ceiling, walls and floors throughout; observed buildup on hood.

Red Salt, 12221 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: raw beef stored over cooked tempura; boxes of fries are stored directly on walk-in freezer floor; cutting board at sushi station is heavily scored; there is heavy grease on floor under fryers and on wheels; person in charge states pipes and cook line were cleaned but these areas are still very greasy.
Leonardo’s Pizza & Pasta, 10883 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: large buckets of sauce are stored directly on walk-in cooler floor; gasket liner on pizza make table doors is torn; walk-in cooler vents are dusty.
KickBack Jacks, 9318 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee drink stored on prep counter next to pizza oven; raw chicken stored over beer in beer walk-in cooler; temperature of chicken cooked on grill is too low; plastic bins at two sinks are stacked while still wet; ice machine lid is broken; paint on racks in salad cooler is chipped; facility doesn’t have a device for measuring water temperature at dish machine; grease buildup found on suppression nozzles at fryers; side door of dumpster was left open.
Jannat Indian Cuisine, 7801 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: dried food residue found on can opener blade; observed old date stickers from September and October on food containers in walk-in; drink menu doesn’t contain a consumer advisory for “sour” drinks that contain raw egg; chemical spray bottle is unlabeled; dishes are stacked while still wet; make table cutting board and individual cutting boards are heavily scratched; wall and floor tiles are in poor repair.

Bojangles, 5441 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hot water at hand sink in rear of house is not reaching the required temperature; pink mold found inside ice machine; green mold is present on sliding doors; cutting board on small prep unit is heavily scarred and scored; observed dried food debris and mold buildup on gaskets of reach-in units at line and in biscuit area; there is mold buildup on rolling racks within walk-in.
El Caporal, 1417 Eastridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide verification that employees are aware of employee health policy; an employee handled raw shrimp and then touched to-go containers and utensils without washing hands first; containers holding tortilla shells do not have lids/covers; containers holding tortilla shells and tortilla chips are dirty; single-use cups are being used as scoops in sauces in prep unit; knife has a chipped tip; cutting boards at prep units are scratched and stained; racks in walk-in cooler and Pepsi cooler are rusty; top of chest freezer has peeling paint and rust; gasket on lowboy unit across from fryers is torn; several items/areas throughout kitchen are dirty (gasket in chest freezer, line and pipes behind grill, shelving unit by grill, shelving unit above prep table, shelf above prep tables, wheels on cart next to fryer, shelf of cart holding rice cambros, floor under cart, and bottom/gasket of white reach-in freezer); there is trash on the ground surrounding the outdoor receptacle; lids of receptacle aren’t closed; two light bulbs are out in hood system.
The Saucy Dragon, 1420 North Parham Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: red cabbage is stored in a non-food grade grocery bag.
Chadar Thai, 8030-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: several containers of food (tofu, mushrooms, shrimp) are stored uncovered in cold units throughout the kitchen; several knives stored clean have dried food debris on them; temperature of bean sprouts cold holding in container of ice is elevated; papaya salad sauce is past its expiration date; there isn’t any proper date marking on cooked noodles, tofu, sauces and prepped vegetables; can of Raid found under mop sink; containers of raw meat and other foods are stored directly on walk-in cooler floor; rice scoops are stored in ambient temperature standing water; scoops without handles are stored in bulk bins of flour and rice; duct tape is used on gaskets of one-door prep unit; aluminum foil and cardboard is lining prep table shelf; there is unsealed wood under RIR, three-compartment sink and bulk bins in dry storage; observed buildup of food debris and mildew on wire racks and fan system in walk-in cooler; grease from hood system is dripping into tall white RIRs; walk-in cooler is in disrepair including floor tiles, fan system and base board at entrance; observed dried food and dust in walk-in cooler, dry storage and on floors underneath stove and fryer; there is excess grease coming from the ventilation system.

Which Wich, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of sliced tomatoes in make table is elevated (container was overstacked); there are torn gaskets on prep tables; wire storage racks in walk-in are rusty; ice machine is out of order.
Hardee’s, 3201 East Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: fryer baskets are bent and broken; metal containers are bent; observed buildup of grease, food residue and/or food debris on broiler rack, grill, fryers, bread toaster, ovens, cables and monitors, hot holding units, prep tables, walk-in cooler racks and fan grates, rolling racks, inside reach-in freezer and inside wrapper holders; observed heavy buildup of food debris, grease and grime on floors and walls throughout establishment, walk-in coolers, mop sink, dry storage, electrical area, under syrup lines and behind/around equipment; there is heavy dust buildup on ceiling panels and vents above food prep areas.
