Tazza Kitchen, 3332 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: slicer is dirty; open packages of premade pasta in standing reach-in unit are not date marked; temperature of sauce prepared an hour ago in walk-in freezer is elevated because of improper cooling methods (stored in deep containers); strainer spoon’s metal edges are becoming frayed; drying rack across from dishwasher is dirty and rusty; mop sink with hose nozzle under pressure doesn’t have a dual check valve installed; mop isn’t hung to air dry.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 5300 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards throughout kitchen are scratched; there is grease buildup on sides of hot line cooking equipment, particularly the deep fryers; observed grease and food debris on hot line reach-in cooler door gaskets; dried food stains found on walls behind prep area.

Dunkin’ Donuts, 4000 Mechanicsville Turnpike – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: kitchen hand sink doesn’t have paper towels.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 11728 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee with long chin hairs is working in the kitchen without wearing a beard net; hood filters are in disrepair; small cutting boards are deeply scratched; ingredient shelf next to cook line is dirty; dumpster area is surrounded by loose trash and debris.

Shagbark Restaurant, 4901 Libbie Mill East Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mold on white panel inside ice machine and soda gun at bar area; cutting boards, particularly the long white ones, are heavily scratched and stained; deep fryer baskets are in disrepair; reach-in freezer door gaskets are stained black and moldy; reach-in cooler door gaskets in bar area have debris on them; walk-in cooler fan guards are dusty; employee restroom doesn’t have a covered trash can; observed grease residue on stainless steel walls behind hot line cooking equipment.

Gino’s Ristorante Pizzeria, 10118 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dried food debris and rust found on can opener blade; temperature of pasta cooked this morning in walk-in cooler is elevated because of improper cooling methods (stored in deep container covered tightly with lid); a wiping cloth is stored on make table cutting board instead of in a chemical sanitizer in between uses; observed mold, dried food debris and rust on walk-in cooler racks; there is buildup on racks next to pizza oven and above chest freezer; observed dirt or food buildup on gaskets of all refrigeration units, especially the Pepsi cooler and pizza area reach-in cooler; observed food stains and dried food debris inside pizza area reach-in cooler; sides of hot line equipment have grease buildup, particularly in between equipment; observed heavy dust and grease buildup on bottoms of deep fryers (interior); women’s restroom doesn’t have a trash can with lid; ceiling tiles near ceiling vents are dusty; there are food stains on walls throughout the kitchen.

Chick-fil-A, 3380 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: ice machines in kitchen and at drink station are dirty; observed a lot of small flies in mop area; there is heavy dust accumulation on wire racks holding take-out containers; small cutting boards are deeply scratched and stained; several areas are dirty (mop drain, racks in thawing unit, racks in walk-in unit, drying racks across from dishwasher, and soda fountain racks); neither hose faucet in kitchen has a dual check valve installed; there is trash and loose debris behind the dumpster.

Dumbarton Elementary School, 9000 Hungary Spring Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of tater tots in the warmer is too low; there is a buildup of dust on the fan blades of a broken and a working AC unit; there is no working light in the mop and chemical storage room.

Varina High School, 7053 Messer Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards are scratched and stained; observed a layer of dust and grime buildup on fan grates within walk-in located next to line five.

Pelagos VR, 1404 North Parham Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Glen Lea Elementary School, 3909 Austin Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dried food debris found on vegetable chopper; observed black mold and stains on walk-in freezer door and gaskets; paint is peeling and there is possible water damage on ceiling above the three-compartment sink.

Nuckols Farm Elementary School, 12351 Graham Meadows Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit or diarrhea; ice machine in kitchen is dirty; temperature of grilled cheese in the warmer is too low; a bottle of pump hand sanitizer is stored next to a jar of peanut butter; small cutting boards are scratched and stained; gaskets in reach-in refrigeration unit are torn; the line leading to the steamer is leaking water; mop isn’t hung to air dry.

Baker Elementary School, 6651 Willson Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: milk containers are stored directly on the walk-in refrigerator floor; overhead light bulbs are out in the wash room.

Short Pump Elementary School, 3425 Pump Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: small cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained.

Laburnum Elementary School, 500 Meriwether Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dried food debris found on can opener blade; temperature of milk in open milk cooler is elevated because the unit’s thermostat is set too high; there are black stains on reach-in cooler door gaskets; floor drain by tilt kettle is dirty; there are dried food stains on serving line stainless steel walls; a staffer’s jacket is hanging on the can opener in the kitchen.

Rolfe Middle School, 6901 Messer Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: reach-in refrigerator between second and third line is broken; there are torn gaskets on back of warmer unit on third line; overhead fan in dish room is dusty; mop isn’t hung to air dry.
