JUNE 10

Firehouse Subs, 4028-K Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: a paper towel dispenser is empty; ice machine is dirty; food items found in plastic-lined containers with lids; two liquid bottles in reach-in prep unit are unlabeled; vents in kitchen are dusty.

JUNE 11

Burger King, 4240 Pouncey Tract Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: one handwash sink in the kitchen is broken and can’t dispense water; a fryer basket is broken; several items/areas are dirty (ice machine interior, interiors of reach-in prep units, freezer chest interior, oven interior, rim of meat freezer, walk-in refrigerator walls, racks containing dry ingredients, walk-in freezer floor, drying racks, ceiling, hood over grill machine, and prep area shelves); floors are slippery from grease; mop isn’t hung to air dry.

YaYa’s Cook Book, 11674 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed employee eating in the kitchen; kitchen employee drank from a cup and failed to change gloves before cooking on prep line; foods found at elevated temperatures in both prep units; rice spatula is stored in ambient temperature standing water; gaskets on prep unit are torn; no light in the mini fridge under sushi bar; ice chest lid is broken off; absorbent liner is being used behind prep line and in small kitchen; several items/areas are dirty (prep unit interiors, prep line shelf, reach-in refrigerator vent, and standing freezer in bar); dumpster area is surrounded by loose trash and debris.

JUNE 13

O’Taste & See Catering Co., 2309-A Hungary Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; water dispenser in fridge is dirty; temperature of potato salad in refrigerator is elevated because of improper cooling methods; there is chipping paint on refrigerator racks; mops are not hung to air dry; hood over oven is dirty.

Vinny’s Italian Grill & Pizzeria, 3434 Lauderdale Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: sanitizer concentration level in dish machine is 0 ppm; temperatures of deli salami and ham in prep unit are elevated; temperature of pizza sauce left out on counter is elevated; to-go containers are stored unprotected and uninverted on dusty prep counters; both prep cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; pizza paddle edges are cracked and broken; facility couldn’t provide test strips for dish machine; observed dust and food debris buildup on all wire storage racks, prep shelves and on top of pizza oven.

Taco Bamba Taqueria, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have parasite destruction documentation from the calamari supplier; raw animal foods are stored next to ready-to-eat foods in the grill drawers; temperatures of corn on the cob on the stove, pork in hot holding unit, rice and Bierria Consommé are too low; temperatures of chile arbol sauce and guacamole portioned out and on ice are elevated.

JUNE 14

Mi Jalisco, 10482 Ridgefield Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of rice in warmer is too low because it is double panned; prep cutting board is heavily scratched and stained; metal wires on fryer baskets are bending and separating.

Dunkin’ Donuts, 10390 Ridgefield Parkway – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Waffle House, 11900 Church Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Mama Cucina, 4028-O Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: no date mark found on cooked sausage; prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained brown/black; observed food debris and grease buildup on prep shelves storing clean plates and inside reach-in prep units.

JUNE 17

Burger King, 8081 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee’s bare hands touched fries several times while putting them in cartons; hand sink near three-compartment sink is missing paper towels; observed heavy buildup of grease and food on salt/pepper dispenser (doesn’t appear that it is being washed and sanitized every four hours); employee with fingernail polish or artificial nails is handling exposed food while not wearing gloves; to-go containers are stored on top of dirty warming cabinets; oily cardboard found on top of fryers; fryer baskets have bent metal wires; observed buildup of grease and food debris on monitors and cables, equipment legs and wheels, wire racks above three-compartment sink, ketchup dispenser, inside reach-in freezer, inside onion bin and on top of warming cabinets; observed food debris and grime buildup on floors and walls in walk-in cooler and freezer.

Shake Shack, 5400 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed grease buildup on sides of hot line cooking equipment; the storage area and/or enclosure for refuse, recyclables or returnables is not being maintained free of unnecessary items and/or clean; floor drains throughout the kitchen need cleaning.
