Chick-fil-A, 9100 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee chewing gum; front hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; observed flour and food debris buildup on carton holders and wire storage racks near breading area; there are old labels on clean containers; pallets in walk-in freezer have food debris and dirt on them.

Eggmania, 2610 Tuckernuck Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee failed to change gloves after touching his face/nose; raw shell eggs and butter are on a time control policy but the time isn’t being tracked; gallon milk jugs are being reused to store lassi; to-go containers are stored unprotected and uninverted on a dusty counter surface; used cardboard is lining racks in dry storage and walk-in cooler; prep cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; old label residue found on clean containers; food debris found on wire shelves; observed food debris and grime on floors and walls throughout kitchen.

The Honey Baked Ham Co., LLC, 200 Towne Center West Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sinks don’t have hot water; ham salad in walk-in is past its expiration date; sliced ham in the walk-in isn’t date marked; wooden pallets are being used in the walk-in freezer; coils in walk-in are dusty.

Golden Skillet, 345 East Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: food protection manager certification is expired; microwave interiors and can opener blade are dirty; bulk containers of flour are unlabeled; racks in dry storage and walk-in cooler are rusty; cutting boards are scratched and stained; observed heavy grease buildup on sides and undersides of fryers; reach-in freezer interior and gaskets and reach-in cooler gaskets are dirty; observed food stains on ceiling tile and walls.

Sonic Drive-In Restaurant, 5805 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: improper cooling methods observed for cooked bacon in walk-in cooler (covered and stacked in deep containers); metal wires are bent and broken off on all fryer baskets; several wire racks are rusted; the cement floor in walk-in cooler is no longer sealed and easily cleanable.

Sonic Drive-In Restaurant, 11250 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; interior of ice machine has slime; temperature of bacon in walk-in is elevated because it wasn’t cooled properly; oil, water and shake syrups are unlabeled; mini hot dog trays are stored unprotected and uninverted; fryer support and copper pipes under three-compartment sink are dirty; hand sink at drive-thru is deteriorated; ceiling vents are rusty and have peeling paint; ceiling light panel is broken.

Ci Ci’s Pizza, 7516 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards used for desserts are heavily scratched and stained; door gasket on walk-in cooler is torn; several wire racks are rusted; observed food debris buildup on wire racks, inside oven and inside dish machine; heavy carbon buildup found on bake pans.

Persis Indian Grill, 11331 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bar area hand sink doesn’t have paper towels or hand soap; soap dispenser at beverage area hand sink isn’t dispensing soap; staff is using a hand sink to drain water from pot with food in it; observed food debris in hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); soda gun at bar area and soda dispenser at beverage station are dirty; dried food debris found inside all microwaves; several bulk containers are unlabeled; several containers of food are stored directly on walk-in cooler floor; walk-in cooler racks are rusty; rubber door gaskets on reach-in cooler are dirty; there is a big hole in the door leading to the kitchen; wire storage racks in kitchen are sticky; observed heavy grease buildup on sides/in between hot line equipment; walk-in cooler fan guards are dirty; there is a missing floor tile around the grease trap; observed grease dripping from hood system.

HobNob, 6010 Hermitage Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bathrooms don’t have hot water; sanitizer concentration is at 0 ppm at three-compartment sink and at bar; temperature of grits in make table is too low; plastic containers are stacked while still wet; foil pie pans are not stored inverted; cutting boards are scratched; spray nozzle found attached to hose with a y-valve.

Lakeside Moose Lodge, 1207 Hilliard Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there isn’t a person in charge with a valid food protection manager certification; temperatures of enchiladas and rice in reach-in cooler are elevated; facility couldn’t provide test strips for sanitizer; observed grease buildup on floor behind stovetop and fryer.

Torchy’s Tacos, 11120 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; temperature of chorizo is elevated; chemical spray bottle is unlabeled; temperatures of roasted tomatoes and salsa in the walk-in are elevated because of improper cooling methods; masa is unlabeled; mop sink doesn’t have a dual check valve installed.

Cracker Barrel, 4435 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: turkey is at an improper temperature because it was stored in the wrong well; temperature of meat loaf in reach-in is elevated; French toast batter is two hours past its discard time; eggs are marked with an improper time making them held over five hours; time isn’t being tracked for pancake batter sitting on the prep table; clean utensils are not stored inverted; observed buildup on racks in units, especially hot holding units; there is grease on the sides of equipment; there is buildup on gaskets which are starting to cause discoloration; cleaning is needed under equipment and in drains; hood filters are starting to drip grease.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, 4402 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed staff handling chicken tenders bare handed; “clean” dishes on drying rack are still dirty/soiled; dried food debris found inside microwave; bags of chicken wings are thawing in three-compartment sink and not under running water; wire storage racks throughout the kitchen are dirty, particularly over breading table; observed grease buildup on sides of deep fryers and exterior and interior of reach-in cooler/freezer doors; walk-in cooler fan and ceiling and top of chicken warmer are dusty; dumpster door was left open; observed food stains on walls throughout the kitchen; ventilation systen interior and filters are greasy.
