Cook Out Store, 1501 Eastridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of hot dogs and eggnog are elevated; cups in dispenser are overfilled and are therefore unprotected; observed buildup on fryer cabinets; observed leak from above mop sink area; cove tile in walk-in is missing; there are bits of spray caulking on walls; floor drains near prep sink and three-compartment sink are dirty; lower wall of three-compartment sink is dirty.

R Town Wings, 4362 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: operator couldn’t provide certification; there are no handwash signs posted in restrooms; observed dried food debris inside microwave; dry storage racks are dusty and rusty; ceiling tile in kitchen is stained; floor tile in kitchen is broken.

The Tin Pan, 8982 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards are soiled; temperature of beans in steam well is too low; no date marks found on cheesecake, roasted garlic, penne or gumbo; spray bottle at hand sink is unlabeled; box of straws incorrectly stored directly on floor; dirty/torn foil found on shelves and inside fryer cabinet; cloth found under microwave; several areas are dirty (exterior of fryers, gasket to freezer on line, side of oven/store area, spray hose attachment, heat lamps, pipe under spray hose, wall by queso, floor cook line, lower dish room wall, storeroom floor, fan grills in walk-in, floor under hand sink on cook line and ceiling vents); there is no hot water at cook line hand sink or in the women’s restroom; there are holes on gray-painted wall; observed open seam along wall behind storage rack.

Picciotti’s Pizza, 9039 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soap dispenser isn’t working; temperatures of ham and tomatoes in pizza prep unit are elevated because both are doubled panned; prep unit and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed cardboard lining shelves and being used to store condiment bottles; fryer baskets are in disrepair (metal bending and breaking).

Dunkin Donuts, 2300 Hungary Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: dishes on clean dish rack are stacked while still wet.

DQ Grill & Chill, 807 East Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mold on top of ice machine; can opener is dirty; temperature of ice cream mix in unit is elevated; units in the front have torn gaskets; multiple units are not operating; racks in walk-in and dry storage are rusted; oven is dirty; observed dust/debris inside of units, on racks, gaskets, fans and standing fans; spray nozzle at three-compartment sink is below the flood line; there is a leak at three-compartment sink’s sanitizer dispenser; wet mops are not being hung to air dry; observed debris under equipment and food splatter on the wall; mildew found on wall above three-compartment sink.

Marco’s Pizza, 4450 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed heavy ice buildup on back of pizza unit.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 4450 South Laburnum Avenue – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Tokyo Sushi Japanese, 10274 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee washed equipment at sink and failed to wash hands before handling food; employee at sushi bar is cutting cucumber with bare hands; employee failed to sanitize cutting board and pans after washing and storing away; time is not being tracked for sushi rice; tuna improperly thawing in reduced oxygen packaging in walk-in cooler and at sushi bar; to-go containers and lids are not stored inverted to protect from contamination; observed soiled cardboard lining surfaces under stovetop; prep unit and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed grease and grime buildup on surfaces of wire storage racks, storage shelves and hood filters; observed grease and food buildup on floor under cook line.

MOD Pizza, 5466 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of red sauce prepped this morning in prep unit is elevated; water is pooling inside sauce prep unit; concrete floors throughout kitchen and in walk-in coolers and prep area are no longer sealed.

TGI Friday’s, 7023 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide verification that employees have been trained on their illness reporting requirements; person in charge couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; high temp dish machine is not reaching the required temperature for sanitizing; observed mold-like substance in ice machine and buildup in soda nozzles; food residue found on shear tongs, meat slicer, and “clean” plates on shelf and cook line; bacon on the line is not cooked crisply and its temperature is too low; temperatures of sliced roast beef, alfredo sauce, cod and shrimp are elevated; detergent and sanitizer at bar are unlabeled; chemical spray bottle in the kitchen is unlabeled; open bags of flour found near walk-in freezer (food must be protected in closed/covered containers); concentration of sanitizer in sanitizing solution is inadequate; observed food debris on clean plates on the cook line; plastic takeout containers are not stored protected to prevent contamination; there are gaps in the hood filters; walk-in racks are rusty; knobs on the oven are missing; re-thermalizer equipment is leaking and not operable at this time; facility doesn’t have an irreversible temperature registering device for the high temp dish machine; observed buildup inside dish machine on the sprayers, curtain and interior surfaces; there is no sanitizer on site; cook line equipment is greasy; fryer filter equipment is caked in grease; observed food debris on salamander broiler, inside refrigerator/freezer units and in containers storing clean utensils; toilet in employee bathroom is in poor repair; a leak in the water line at the soda system/water filter area occurred during the inspection; dumpster door was left open; floor tiles are damaged; there are holes in the wall in the back storage room; observed grease and food debris on floor at cook line; observed blood on the floor in the meat walk-in; wet mops are not being hung to air dry; no light is provided in the non-functioning walk-in refrigerator that is serving as storage space.

Stella’s Grocery, 5001 Huguenot Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: a delivery had elevated temperatures; temperatures of tiropita and bacon, egg and cheese sandwich in warmer display are too low; temperatures of banana pudding, eggplant pasta and mushroom pasta are elevated; oat milk and other foods and boxes of single-service items incorrectly stored directly on floor; in-use long spoons are incorrectly stored in sanitizer; coffee filters are stored uncovered; mops are not being hung to air dry.

Batido’s Juice Bar and Coffee, 8703 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; the warming cabinet is not holding foods at the required temperature; no date marks found on cooked chicken; sugar is unlabeled; food incorrectly stored in black grocery bags; ceiling vent is dusty.
