Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, 7005 Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: back unit is not holding food at the proper temperature (this unit holds foods prior to placing on the line, therefore temperatures of roast beef and turkey on front line are elevated); spray bottles are unlabeled; employee’s long hair needs to be restrained better; cup dispensers have been overfilled exposing the cup lips; a dual check valve needs to be installed on the mop faucet; hand sink faucet is dripping.

Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings, 11624 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage is posted at front hand sink; raw eggs incorrectly stored over cabbage; cutting board has split; light in hood and by the back door aren’t working; cabinet doors to fryers, hood filters and pipes behind fryers are dirty; a dual check valve needs to be installed at mop sink; there are a few holes in the walls.

PITSA, 1080 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mold/mildew buildup on back of ice machine in back kitchen; back hand sink has a leak; there is low grouting under three-compartment sink.

Starbucks Coffee Company, 1091 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed water leaking out of side of dish machine; there is buildup on floors and drains throughout the facility.

New Chinese Chef, 403-A North Ridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: sugar is unlabeled; bag of carrots incorrectly stored directly on floor; egg rolls cannot be stored in reused cardboard; non-food grade bags cannot be used for food storage; interior of large chest freezer has ice buildup; lower shelves in kitchen, floor under fryers, and floor and edges to grease trap by tall oven are dirty; floor is sticky; light shields are missing.

Richmond Raceway—Concessions, 600 East Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: can opener blade has rust; container of food and three boxes incorrectly stored directly on floor in walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, respectively; two-door reach-in cooler has torn gaskets and a broken door handle; rubber gaskets on coolers throughout kitchen are dirty; sides of hot line equipment have grease buildup; ceiling tiles throughout kitchen are stained.

Poseidon Boil, 9127-R West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide parasite destruction documentation from salmon supplier; menu doesn’t contain asterisks marking raw items (salmon and tuna); spray bottles are unlabeled; temperature of rice in closed containers is elevated; ice scoop handles are touching ice; rice scoop observed in water; knives incorrectly stored in between prep surfaces.

McDonald’s, 5520 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soap dispenser near front counter isn’t working because the batteries are dead; no handwash signage is posted in restrooms; observed food stains on sides of ice cream machine; rubber door gaskets on produce reach-in cooler are dirty; walk-in cooler fan guards are dusty; observed grease buildup on floors under deep fryers and burger grills.

El Paso Mexican Restaurant, 3417 Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed Tony’s pizzas incorrectly stored next to raw hamburgers in cooler underneath grill and three-door reach-in cooler; screws inside ice machine are rusty and rust is leaking onto the ice; time is not being tracked for roasted peppers on hot line; menu doesn’t contain asterisks next to raw/undercooked meats that refer customer back to the consumer advisory statement; two bulk containers are unlabeled; knife incorrectly stored between wall and three-compartment sink at bar area; tortillas incorrectly stored in plastic grocery bags on hot line; aluminum foil cannot be used to line shelves in kitchen; observed grease buildup on sides of all hot line equipment.

Napoli Pizza, 3324 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; raw shell eggs incorrectly stored above lettuce; temperatures of garlic in oil and sliced deli ham are elevated; sliced deli ham incorrectly thawing at room temperature; sliced turkey is past its expiration date; no date marks found on shredded cheese, prepared chicken, ground beef or lettuce; time is not being tracked for sliced pizza; wooden pizza paddle is chipping; cardboard boxes cannot be reused to store shredded cheese.

McDonald's, 1778 North Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage is posted in women’s restroom; milk unit is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature; coffee filters are stored unprotected; crumbs found in door gasket; grate cover is missing from drain in mop sink.

Wendy’s, 10177 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash sign posted in women’s restroom; observed grease on sides of equipment and fryers; observed debris in gaskets and inside units; wires and computer are dusty; cook line has low grouting; floor tiles are cracked throughout; coving tiles are missing by the walk-in; observed grease on floor under cook line; there are dirt/debris in drains under three-compartment sink and ice machine; hood filters are missing and broken.

Wendy’s, 4231 Pouncey Tract Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage is posted at big hand sink; mutiple foods on the line (tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, salads) have elevated temperatures; observed paper being used as a liner for counter near service counter; paper is covering metal cup dispensers; rubber door gasket on reach-in freezer is torn; cold table is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature; cooler door gaskets and monitors throughout kitchen are dirty; walk-in cooler fan guards and ceiling vents are dusty; dry storage racks are dirty and dusty; debris found in bottom shelf of reach-in freezer; door to outside dumpster was left open; wall tiles in men’s restroom are broken; ceiling tiles throughout kitchen are stained; walls have dried food stains on them; floors and walls near deep fryers are greasy.
