TGI Friday’s, 4459 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide proof of food protection manager certification; an employee handled fruit garnish with bare hands; both hand sinks in the kitchen are missing hand soap; temperatures of mac and cheese and spinach sauce in ice bath and raw chicken in tabletop prep unit are elevated; tuna improperly thawing in reduced oxygen packaging in the walk-in cooler; fly traps should not be installed above clean equipment and prep shelves; kitchen employee with long beard isn’t wearing a beard guard; several fryer baskets are in disrepair (metal pieces broken and bent); prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed food debris/grease buildup on wire racks, prep surfaces, fryer wheels, equipment storage bins, cables and monitors, and fan system in walk-in cooler; observed grease and grime on floors and walls; ceiling panels are damaged; there is low grout on floors; floor tiles are missing or broken.

Sistar Seafood, 4844 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no supervisors or managers are certified food protection managers; cleaning spray bottles are unlabeled; single and fish cutting board at prep sink are heavily scratched and stained; observed food debris and grease buildup on wire racks, storage shelves, inside prep unit and reach-in coolers, in all walk-in coolers, and on crates and squeeze bottles; observed food debris and grime on kitchen floors and inside mop sink.

Target, 10100 Brook Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Pizzaro, 9966 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in back kitchen doesn’t have paper towels and the soap dispenser is in disrepair; hand sink is being held up by a piece of wood; racks in the walk-in are rusting; drawers under grill are not closing properly; observed soiled cardboard on shelves in lowboy; racks in prep units, walk-in and storage shelf near grill are dirty and dusty; observed flour and dust on outside of microwave.

Bubba’s Bar & Grill, 4000 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee failed to wash her hands after cleaning, touching her clothes and washing dishes before continuing to handle food; an employee did not sanitize knife and cutting board after washing (upon discussion with the employee, it was revealed that dishes and equipment were not being sanitized prior to inspection); cleaning spray bottles at the bar are not labeled with the chemical name; observed an infestation of small flies at the bar; wood butcher block surface on two of the prep tables is heavily scratched, stained and the wood is not sealed; prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed grease and food residue buildup on prep counters (top and bottom), inside hand sink, on backsplash behind fryers and under grill/fryers; there is a leak under wash basin at three-compartment sink; there are floor tiles missing/not sealed in dry storage areas on both sides of kitchen; observed food debris and grime on floors in kitchen and at bar; there are missing ceiling panels throughout kitchen and storage areas; there are holes in walls; floor tiles are broken and missing under three-compartment sink and at bar under keg coolers.

Chicago’s Pizza With A Twist, 3641-F Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: multiple pesticides found stored in kitchen; observed fruit flies in the kitchen and pest traps are full; multiple cutting boards in the kitchen are scratched and stained; mold found on walk-in cooler wire racks; observed mold and food debris on all cooler door gaskets; multiple lights are out in ventilation system.

Wingstop, 9048 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed food debris and grease residue on wire storage racks above three-compartment sinks, inside reach-in freezer and on prep table shelves; observed food debris and grime on floors.

DC Charcoal Chicken, 4909 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: kitchen hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; sanitizer bucket should not be stored in front of house hand sink; raw shell eggs incorrectly stored over tomatoes in walk-in cooler; observed mold inside self-service soda machine ice dispenser; multiple time/temperature control sensitive foods in walk-in cooler are not at the proper temperature (raw chicken, beef, shrimp, steaks, whole fish, cooked chicken); used flour for frying is not on a time or temperature control policy (same batch of flour has been used all day); cutting board on prep unit is heavily scratched and stained; two lights are out in hood system in kitchen; one light fixture is in disrepair in charcoal grill hood system; there is heavy grease buildup on sides of cooking equipment (deep fryers, flat top grill, char grill, stove top) and on hood vents in kitchen; observed heavy food debris buildup on prep unit cooler doors and gaskets; observed grease buildup and food stains on walls and floors behind hot line; there is food debris covering the kitchen hand sink.

JS Lakeside Tavern, 5406 Lakeside Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is no one on staff who is a certified food protection manager; black mold found inside soda gun at bar; several spray bottles in kitchen and bar area are unlabeled; cutting boards in kitchen are heavily scratched and stained; cardboard should not be reused to line shelves; aluminum foil should not be used to line shelves; observed food debris and grease buildup on unused reach-in cooler and deep fryer, sides of in-use deep fryer and on stove top; walk-in cooler fan guards and vents are very dusty; rubber door gaskets of beer keg cooler at bar are very moldy; walk-in cooler door is very dirty/moldy; floor coving in kitchen is in disrepair; hood system is very greasy/dusty.

Tres Machos, 2313 Westwood Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no person in charge currently working; raw beef incorrectly stored next to green peppers and raw fish incorrectly stored over cucumbers; mold found inside ice machine, Pepsi brand soda dispenser nozzles and inside soda gun at bar area; dish machine sanitizer level is 0 ppm; temperature of a pan of queso in warmer unit is too low; several spray cleaner bottles are unlabeled; bulk containers of food are unlabeled; product is incorrectly stored directly on the floor in dry storage areas and walk-in cooler; there is heavy grease buildup between flat top grill and deep fryer on hot line; observed food debris, stains and grease buildup on double-door reach-in cooler interior, wire racks, doors and gaskets; speed rack in walk-in cooler and pans are very dirty; fan guards in walk-in cooler are dirty/moldy; wire racks in walk-in cooler are greasy, dirty and rusty.

Freakin BBQ LLC, 1164 Wilkinson Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw meats incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat foods in walk-in cooler; can opener blade has rust and food debris; temperature of a pan of greens in warmer unit is too low; observed grease buildup on unused deep fryer in corner of kitchen; gaskets in seafood lowboy unit and reach-in freezer are dirty; walk-in cooler fan guards are dusty.
