Poke Sushi Bowl, 11628 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; raw eggs and raw fish incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat food in back reach-in cooler; cooked eel made yesterday is not date marked; gas powder incorrectly stored on top of red quinoa; salt in back kitchen and milk powder on front line are unlabeled; white powder and tapioca on the line are not covered to prevent contamination; scoop handle is stored in the salt and ice scoop handle is touching ice; single-service clear plastic containers on the line are not stored inverted to prevent contamination; microwave is rusty; metal skimmer in back kitchen is broken.

Tiki Tiki, 8917 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; temperature of chicken left out is elevated; egg rolls and fried chicken in lowboy are not date marked; salt, MSG and sugar on the cook line are unlabeled; basket of egg rolls in lowboy is lined with paper menus (use food-grade materials); wet wiping cloths are sitting out on prep top instead of being stored in sanitizer buckets; gap in hood is greater than one inch; trash cans in employee and women’s restrooms are not covered; there are several broken and missing ceiling tiles.

JULY 19

Pier 88, 4420 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: ice machine has a layer of buildup on inside surface; cups at the bar are stacked while still wet.

My Favorite Muffin, 10174 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee touched her hair and face with gloves on and continued food prep without washing hands and changing gloves; observed an employee washing hands in the prep sink (use hand sink); hand sink in prep area doesn’t have hand soap; temperature of diced tomatoes in prep unit is elevated; observed chipped blades on knives being stored on magnetic strip.

Thai Flavor Food & Noodle, 4024-D Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed pink residue building up on shield inside ice machine; prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed grease and dust buildup on wire storage racks; clean containers have old labels still on them; observed food debris and grease buildup on floor under wok station and inside floor drains.

Taqueria y Restaurante El Chido LLC, 7568 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bar hand sink doesn’t have hand soap; dish machine isn’t sanitizing and test strip indicates 0 ppm sanitizer; prep cutting boards are scratched and stained; ceiling panels in back prep/dishwash area are not smooth and easily cleanable.

Clean Eatz Richmond, 11801 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employees prepping food are wearing bracelets; prep sink at front counter has a leak.

Little Caesars, 5101 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; several areas are dirty (gaskets on front warmers, door to employee restroom, floors in employee restroom, under three-compartment sink and walls throughout kitchen).

Sun Top’s China, 5660 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: hand sink doesn’t have hot water; knives incorrectly stored between prep surfaces; equipment needs continued cleaning.

Les Crepes, 1308 Gaskins Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility doesn’t have parasite destruction letter from salmon provider; there is 0 ppm sanitizer in dish machine in dish room and at bar.

Marco’s Pizza, 2284 John Rolfe Parkway – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: plastic lids are cracked; cutting boards are worn; mop sink faucet doesn’t have a dual check valve installed; wet mop is not being hung to air dry; ceiling is dusty; mop sink needs cleaning.

Genghis Grill, 11849 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed buildup of grime and food debris on can opener blade, floors, walls and ceiling panels; pink residue found on shield inside ice machine; temperatures of noodles, sausage and top portions of tofu are elevated; rice scoops stored in standing water; small chest freezer door is broken; lids on rice cookers are in disrepair; prep and single cutting boards are heavily scratched; observed food debris and grease buildup on surfaces of all wire storage racks, black carts and fan grate in walk-in cooler; there are cracked and missing floor tiles in grill area and prep areas; wall damage near reach-in freezer.
