Red Robin America’s Gourmet Burgers & Spirits, 10067 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is 0 ppm sanitizer in the dish machine; temperatures of pizza sauce, tomatoes and turkey in prep units are elevated; observed heavy ice buildup in multiple units across cook line and salad dress station; reach-in across from pizza prep has a torn gasket; floor drains are rusted.

Park Lane Tavern, 2251 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee handle seared tuna with bare hands while wrapping for storage in the walk-in; mold found inside ice machine; there is food residue on slicer blade and blade guard; temperature of chili prepared yesterday in the walk-in is elevated; temperatures of raw fish in refrigerator and caper dill butter in walk-in are elevated; jager gravy and chili are past their expiration dates; facility doesn’t have a written policy for fish batter kept on time control; observed many small flies at the bar; knife incorrectly stored in crack between fridge units; plates are stored unprotected on line; cutting boards are heavily scratched; heat seal at walk-in freezer door isn’t working (door is difficult to open and close); grout is starting to wear in front of flat top grill causing water to pool; observed grease and food debris on floor under fryers.

Little Caesars, 7332 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed employees fail to wash their hands after going outside and re-entering the kitchen and also after washing equipment before continuing food prep; single-service items are stored unprotected on greasy and dusty wire racks; single cutting boards are stained and heavily scratched; observed grease and food residue on surfaces of ovens, wire storage racks, fan system in walk-in cooler, portable fans and containers on dry racks; floor near mop sink isn’t tiled and no longer smooth and easily cleanable.

New Hunan Gourmet, 3107 Mechanicsville Turnpike – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sinks don’t have hand soap or paper towels; dirty dishes found in a hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); temperature of fried rice in warmer is too low; dish soap and all-purpose cleaner incorrectly stored on sink next to raw chicken wings; temperature of raw chicken marinating in three-compartment sink is elevated; menu lists scallops but the facility is serving imitation scallops; multiple containers of food incorrectly stored directing on walk-in cooler floor; egg crates are being reused throughout kitchen; plastic to-go bags are being used as food contact surfaces for raw meat in freezers as well as produce in walk-in cooler (use food grade plastic); cardboard is being used throughout the kitchen; mold found on wire racks and fan guards in walk-in cooler; observed dried food debris, dust and grime buildup on bulk containers and utensil drawers; ceiling tiles are stained; there is grime buildup underneath wok station; observed dried food debris and grime buildup on walls and floors, especially walk-in cooler and under and behind equipment.

Tuckahoe Moose Lodge, 4366 Springfield Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no supervisors or managers are certified food protection managers; observed food debris on blade of can opener; heavy buildup of mildew found inside ice machine; plate surface temperature in dish machine doesn’t reach the required temperature; temperature of deli turkey in prep unit is elevated; prep unit and single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed buildup of food debris, dust and grime on fryers, grill, inside prep and reach-in coolers, on portable fans, prep and counters, inside mop sink and on wire storage racks; observed food debris and grime on floors and walls in kitchen and in walk-in cooler; light bulb above prep unit and near mop sink are not shielded, coated or otherwise shatter-resistant.

Artisans by Alyah Snacks Bakery & Café, 3302 Williamsburg Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: hand sink doesn’t have paper towels.

Captain D’s Seafood, 4800 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; neither hand sink has paper towels; both paper towel dispensers are broken; temperature of fried fish on the line is too low; temperatures of sliced tomatoes, tartar sauce and lobster mix in the prep unit are elevated; single-service/to-go containers on the cook line and the front line are not stored inverted to prevent contamination; lowboy refrigerator and freezer on the cook line are dirty; observed food debris in blender; there is extremely low grout with heavy food buildup/dirt on floors throughout the kitchen; floor drains are rusty; a horrible stench is coming from the office/back of kitchen that smells like rotten sewage; walk-in cooler floor is dirty with heavy food debris and pooling water; wet mop is not hung to air dry.

Sun Top’s China, 5660 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; open drinks found on top of prep unit; observed an employee wash hands in three-compartment sink instead of hand sink; observed an employee use bare hands to separate cabbage into smaller containers; hot water isn’t working at hand sink; temperatures of shrimp, chicken, pork and cooked veggies in prep unit are elevated; no date marks found on cooked egg rolls, chicken, shrimp or noodles in walk-in or reach-in; time is not being tracked for items left out of temperature (cut cabbage, noodles, chicken, bean sprouts); white substances on the cook line are unlabeled; utensils incorrectly stored in water; multiple knives incorrectly stored in crevices between prep units; menus are lining containers for cooked chicken and egg rolls (use food grade material); several areas need cleaning (outside and inside of units, wheels of units, racks in units and dry storage, and around the top of rice cooker units); observed grease and dust buildup on hood filters.

Bowlero—West End, 8037 Shrader Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee drink without a lid is stored on prep unit board; observed an employee use hand sanitizer instead of washing hands after returning to the kitchen; dish machine at the bar isn’t sanitizing; fryer baskets are in disrepair; observed food debris buildup under grill, on wire storage racks and inside reach-in freezers; pizza pans are encrusted with cheese and sauce; floor/wall tile coving at the bar is damaged; one light bulb isn’t working in the hood; observed food debris and trash on floor under cook line, in walk-in cooler and in storage hallway; observed dust buildup on ceiling panel/vents and on wall next to hood system.

Angela’s Ristorante, 425 North Ridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; shellfish tags are not being kept in chronological order; no date marks found on meatballs, sliced ham, penne, spaghetti or tiramisu; a “no smoking” sign isn’t posted.

Carini Italian Restaurant, 3718 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomit/diarrhea; observed an employee use bare hands to place lemons on drinks; hand sink in kitchen doesn’t have paper towels; raw shrimp and chicken incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat lemons and oysters in small prep unit on cook line; menu doesn’t have a consumer advisory for ribeye steak that can be cooked to order; Italian dressing is being sold in mason jars without the proper label requirements; to-go trays and single-service containers are not stored inverted to prevent contamination; racks in back reach-in cooler are rusty; there is a slight leak in the lowboy at the salad station; facility couldn’t provide test strips for bleach sanitizer at the dish machine; trash can in the employee restroom doesn’t have a cover.

Bojangles, 11 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed mold inside ice machine and on exterior doors; temperature of a pan of chicken tenders on serving line is too low; bulk container of rice is unlabeled; three light bulbs are burnt out in hot line hood system; there is a large rust stain on inside of raw chicken cooler door; observed dried food debris and grease buildup on sides and inside deep fryers, outside of flour bins, on cooler and freezer gaskets throughout kitchen, in hand sinks throughout kitchen, on bottom of beverage cooler by drive-thru and on to-go cup dispensers on front line; plastic and wire racks in walk-in coolers are moldy; walk-in cooler fan grates are dusty; dumpster lids are in disrepair; ceiling tile outside office is displaced; ceiling tiles near air vents are dusty; ceiling tiles by biscuit ovens are stained; observed dried food debris and flour on floors and walls of kitchen.

DQ Grill & Chill, 3275 New Market Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of diced tomatoes, sliced tomatoes, lettuce and bacon in prep unit are elevated; this unit is not keeping foods at the proper temperature; lower section of prep unit has a torn gasket; there isn’t an internal thermometer for measuring ambient temperature in the prep unit on the cook line; ceiling vent above three-compartment sink is dusty; mop sink, wall behind mop sink and walk-in cooler floor are dirty.
