Short Pump Pour House, 3438 Pump Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: multiple open employee drinks found throughout kitchen; Ziploc bag of raw hamburger incorrectly stored on top of a pack of raw ribs in the walk-in; plates and pans on a dish rack have food and/or sticker residues; utensils and equipment in storage have dust and debris on them; fish incorrectly thawing in reduced oxygen packaging; squeeze bottles of oil and water on the cook line are unlabeled; bucket of pickles and a box of cutlery incorrectly stored on the floor; beer cooler racks and short rack in walk-in are rusty; many items in the kitchen are dirty/greasy (fridge gaskets, sides of cook equipment and fridges, expo shelving, dish racks, back side of ice machine door, pipes and fan guards in walk-in coolers and freezer, insides of bar coolers, and dish storage bins); ceiling vents are dark and appear very worn; walls and floors throughout kitchen need a deep cleaning (especially under expo and make tables, at cook line, in beer cooler, behind beer coolers at bar, and under storage racks); hood filters are greasy.

Panera Bread, 1370 North Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of cut tomatoes, eggs, cabbage/kale/carrot mix in make table are elevated; box of potato chips incorrectly stored beneath bug light; observed buildup on baking trays and carts; spray hose attachment, soup wells, unused cup dispenser, unused hood filters by stack oven, floor drains throughout, and refrigerator gaskets are dirty; interior of dish machine is dirty and needs to be delimed; unused or non-working equipment shouldn’t be stored on the premises; floor by drive-thru is slimy; fan grills inside walk-in are dusty; walk-in freezer floor and door, floor around dish machine and three-compartment sink, wall by mop sink and mop sink area, and floor by water heater are dirty.

Honest Restaurant, 8900-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed two employees touch ready-to-eat foods with bare hands; hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; hand sink in kitchen doesn’t have hand soap; box of moldy cucumbers found in walk-in cooler; unsalted butter found on a hot plate that wasn’t turned on is at the incorrect temperature; date sticker on cauliflower dumplings in walk-in cooler is incorrect; bhaji and potato dumplings made yesterday are not date marked; multiple containers of salt on the cook line are unlabeled; lentils and fried noodles incorrectly stored on the floor; to-go trays are not stored inverted; trash receptacle in women’s restroom doesn’t have a cover; wet mop is not hung to air dry.

Chao Tian Fu Spicy Hot Pot, 9127-C West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: paper towel dispenser is in disrepair in women’s employee restroom; raw chicken incorrectly stored next to lily flower in walk-in cooler; observed food debris on slicer used yesterday; temperature of chicken gizzards in refrigerated portion of open display case is elevated; temperatures of spam, seaweed, bean curd and duck blood are elevated because of improper cooling methods; white powders on cart on cook line are unlabeled; sauces and fresh vegetables are being kept open without a lid at sauce station in dining area; boxes of soda, oil and to-go single-service trays incorrectly stored on the floor; strainers on shelf above three-compartment sink are stacked while still wet; to-go boats and trays on cook line shelf are not stored inverted; observed low grouting on kitchen floor.

Pupuseria ENA, 9027 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: slaw is not date marked; several foods are past their expiration dates; cardboard is being reused for utensils.

Hampton Inn and Suites, 12341 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dark buildup along interior walls of the ice machine; salsa and cheese are stored in an uncovered container on the breakfast line.

Home 2 Suites, 209 Towne Center West Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed patch of dark film inside ice machine; didn’t observe a thermo disc or thermo labels for the high temp dishwasher; small table fan on dish rack and coffee station mug shelves are dusty.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, 7000 Forest Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed a worker place raw steak onto the grill and then immediately touch bun; foods in small make table have elevated temperatures; temperatures of tomatoes and lettuce are elevated; no dates found on open deli meat in the walk-in (pepper ham, salami, cappicola); prep sink is dirty and stained; floor drains are extremely dirty; wall behind three-compartment sink is mildewy; floor under three-compartment sink, floor in walk-in freezer and fan grills in walk-in refrigerator are dirty.

Longhorn Steakhouse, 11311-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dark buildup on crevices around the chute of the bulk ice machine; large lexan pans on the drying rack and blender at the bar have food debris on them; dishwasher hood is rusty; plastic trays on dish rack have cracks and peeling pieces; several non-food contact surfaces in the kitchen are dirty (fridge gaskets, insides of bar beer coolers, cracks of equipment at bar, sides of cook line equipment, expo shelving, label shelf in kitchen, surfaces of dishwasher, walk-in doors, drain mats, chemical rack, walk-in racks, speed racks, kitchen monitors and key pads, and drain lines); ceiling tiles are dark from age and exposure; observed dirt and debris on walls throughout kitchen and floors under equipment, including at the bar; mold is growing inside light shield in the walk-in cooler; hood filters are greasy.

Comfort Suites, 10601 Telegraph Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; facility couldn’t provide test strips for quat sanitizer.

Sportsman’s Restaurant & Lounge, 3306 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: didn’t observe a certified food protection manager onsite; hand sink in employee restroom doesn’t have hand soap; hand sinks in women’s restroom in pool room and employee restroom don’t have paper towels; raw shell eggs incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat bacon bits and dressing in reach-in cooler; ice machine has a layer of pink slime; trash can in women’s restroom in pool room doesn’t have a cover; floor coving is missing in employee restroom in kitchen.

AHA Indian Kitchen, 3409 Old Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of chicken curry is too low; prepared mutton isn’t date marked; paneer is past its expiration date; sprayer and a bowl of soap are unlabeled; spices are unlabeled; observed live and dead roaches; food containers incorrectly stored on walk-in floor; dirty wet cloth found on cutting board (store cloths in sanitizer); rice scoop incorrectly stored in standing water; blender base, rice cooker and bun cabinet incorrectly stored on floor; lid to chest freezer is in poor repair; cardboard should be removed from shelf; drip trays are soiled; ceiling vent in employee restroom is dirty.

Tasty Crab, 7801-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed multiple employees complete multiple tasks without changing gloves or washing hands; observed a worker handle ready-to-eat boiled eggs without gloves; hand sink at bar doesn’t have hand soap; back hand sink is blocked by pots and pans; observed an employee peeling eggs in front hand sink and cleaner in bar hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); didn’t observe tags for oysters on the half shell being held for 90 days; observed shrimp in buckets thawing in back prep sink without any running water; raw oysters stored in black buckets (store in original containers); food incorrectly stored on walk-in floor; utensil next to rice cooker incorrectly stored in water; scoops are in contact with food in the reach-in; wall by mop sink has a hole; multiple lights are out in the walk-in cooler; personal items like purses incorrectly stored on prep shelves and dry storage shelves.
