Starbucks Coffee, 1091 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage posted at front hand sink; observed buildup in drains throughout and under equipment in front and back kitchen.

Classic’s, 4820 Williamsburg Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Apple Spice Junction, 1504 East Parham Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Secret Squares, 9018 West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: sausage, cooked mushrooms and pesto recently prepped are cooling with lids on (follow proper cooling methods).

Chicago’s Pizza with a Twist, 3641-F Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed food debris greater than one day old on vegetable slicer in prep area; cutting boards throughout facility are heavily scratched and/or stained; reach-in freezer, reach-in unit in back of facility and walk-in cooler all have a torn gasket; racks in dish area and in walk-in cooler are rusty; observed gap in between hood filters above convection oven; one ceiling light is out in the dish room.

Sandston Moose Family Center, 4505 Oakleys Lane – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there isn’t a verifiable employee health policy; raw eggs incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat lettuce and dressings in the walk-in cooler; BBQ has incorrect date mark; observed food debris on floor edges of kitchen and under rolling racks.

Hawk’s Fish & BBQ, 3050 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide certified food protection manager certificate; there isn’t a verifiable employee health policy; hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; raw shrimp incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat coleslaw in homestyle reach-in cooler; ice machine has a heavy layer of slime and black mildew; temperatures of green beans in steam well and mac ‘n cheese in hot holding unit are too low; temperature of milk in mini fridge in bakery section is elevated; pulled pork BBQ and coleslaw in homestyle reach-in cooler are not marked with the date made; person in charge states they are doing their own pest control in the kitchen (hire professionals immediately); employee incorrectly placed raw fish directly onto ice (use bags of ice); observed heavy layers of grease and food debris on rolling racks and sides of equipment; mop sink has a leak; floors, walls and ceilings are dirty.

McDonald’s, 9751 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: observed pink and black mold on plastic panel of ice machine near drive-thru; observed 2-3 small flies in back dry storage area; to-go trays on main cook line are not stored inverted; reach-in unit near fryers on cook line and lowboy unit under espresso machine have a torn gasket; lowboy unit’s door doesn’t close properly; floors in dish area in back of facility have low grouting; observed debris on floor corners of drive-thru area.

Taco Bell, 9420 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: used paper towel found inside hand sink; observed food debris greater than one day old on multiple scoops stored clean above three-compartment sink; observed buildup on tea nozzle near drive-thru station; temperature of fries in hot holding station on the line is too low; temperatures of lettuce and shredded cheese in lowboy unit on the line are elevated; incorrect times are marked for lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and pico de gallo on the line; another time sheet was blank; cutting boards on the line are heavily scratched; observed debris/buildup on shelves on the line, racks throughout, pipes, hood filters, sides of equipment, under fryers on cook line, outside of grills and equipment on line, and in between gasket for reach-in freezer; floor throughout kitchen has low grouting.

Chicken Salad Chick, 9631 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: temperatures of chicken salad, pasta salad, tomatoes and lettuce in lowboy unit are elevated; air temperature of lowboy unit is elevated; metal pans on clean rack are stacked while still wet; cutting board on sandwich unit on line is heavily scratched; floor throughout kitchen has low grouting.

Wong’s Tacos, 201 Maltby Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: sanitizer at three-compartment sink is dispensing slightly low; temperature of steak in the reach-in is elevated because it was not cooled properly.

Mellow Mushroom, 12171 West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: pizza unit lowboy and drawers are still not maintaining food at the proper temperature.

Big Chile, 10184 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: pain pills, cough medicine and vitamins incorrectly stored on dry storage rack near food; single cutting boards are heavily scratched.

Jack’s Place, 1881 Darbytown Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in kitchen doesn’t have paper towels; raw eggs and raw bacon incorrectly stored over ready-to-eat cheese and mayo in glass door reach-in cooler; temperatures of fried chicken and fried fish in hot holding unit are too low; fish incorrectly stored in direct contact with ice (use bags of ice); ice buckets are not stored inverted so that they can drain; several lights are out in hot holding unit; two-door freezer has torn gaskets; can opener holder is dirty; hoods are greasy and dusty.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, 4024-C Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: can opener blade is dirty; a few clean dishes still have food residue and adhesive on them; roasted peppers incorrectly cooling while covered in the walk-in; one dry storage rack is rusty; one dish rack has chipping paint; speed racks have dirty sticker residues on them; grouting is low in the dish area; front/cook line ceiling tiles are discolored; wall corners near ice machine are damaged and scuffed deeply; wall has an open hole (missing outlet).
