Hondo’s, 4120-B Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: refrigerator racks are heavily rusted; walk-in cooler racks and bar cooler racks are dirty with a white film; walls and ceilings need cleaning (observed improvement but some areas are still heavily soiled).

TGI Friday’s, 4459 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violation was reported during a follow-up inspection: several floor tiles in back of kitchen are cracked.

Burger Bach, 2225 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: raw chorizo incorrectly stored above shrimp; raw meats incorrectly stored above raw oysters; temperatures of sliced cheeses and pimiento cheese are elevated; observed gap in the hood; laminate is missing on shelf above bain marie; fan grills in middle walk-in are dusty.

The Market on Broad, Richmond International Airport – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Capriccio Pizza, 9127-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink by pizza station doesn’t have hand soap; no handwash signs are posted at hand sinks; food in the salad prep unit (cut lettuce, feta) have elevated temperatures; prepared and open foods (deli turkey, lasagna, pasta, chicken, meatballs, etc.) are not date marked; pizza by the slice is not marked with a discard time (can only be held for two hours); personal care items (hemp oil muscle rub, vitamins, etc.) incorrectly stored on a shelf with dry goods; pasta made this morning is incorrectly cooling in a deep covered container; open bag of flour incorrectly stored on the floor; pizza boxes and single-service items incorrectly stored on the floor; salad prep unit door has a torn gasket; walk-in freezer isn’t working; a black garbage bag is being used to cover bread in the walk-in cooler; floor under fryer and the walk-in cooler need cleaning.

Plaza Azteca Restaurantes Mexicanos, 6623 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: no hand wash signage is posted at hand sink at service station in kitchen; temperature of cooked chicken made last night is elevated; forks and spoons are not stored inverted on table behind cook line; lowboy unit on end of cook line has torn gasket; one light bulb is out and another is missing at hood system on cook line; water is pooling in lowboy units on cook line; racks in dry storage area are rusty; refrigerated drawers on cook line are in disrepair (not holding foods at the proper temperature); cutting boards on the cook line are heavily scratched; ceiling light shield in walk-in cooler is cracked; ceiling vents throughout kitchen are rusty.

McDonald’s, 9751 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: pink and black mold found on plastic panel of ice machine near drive-thru; observed buildup on can opener blade near dish area; temperature of fried McChicken in warmer units on main line is too low; temperature of milkshake mix in lowboy in drive-thru area is elevated due to the door not closing properly; air temperature of this unit is elevated; temperatures of tomatoes and lettuce prepped in the last hour are elevated; observed multiple small flies in back dry storage area and in kitchen; observed one roach crawling on top of milkshake mix in lowboy in drive-thru area; to-go trays are not stored inverted on main cook line; reach-in unit near fryers and lowboy unit under espresso machine in drive-thru area have torn gaskets; air temperature of refrigerated drawers under convection oven in kitchen is elevated; observed low grouting on floors in dish area in back of facility; observed debris/buildup on floors in drive-thru area and in floor corners; ceiling tiles in front drive-thru area and ceiling vents in back of facility, in dry storage area and in dish area are dusty.

China King Chinese Restaurant, 4362 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; a wet wiping cloth is sitting out on a prep surface instead of being kept in a sanitizer solution; cook top is in poor repair.

Cielito Lindo, 6003 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in kitchen doesn’t have hand soap; raw chicken incorrectly stored over raw beef in three-door commercial reach-in unit; air temperature of this unit is elevated; temperature of cooked pork made this morning is elevated because it is not being cooled properly; temperatures of beef, cheese, chorizo, milk, two containers of salsas, and chicken in reach-in unit are elevated; air temperature of this unit is elevated; did not observe written times for rice in warmer, different salsas stored out at room temperature, cheese or beans; multiple chemical spray bottles in dining area and near cook line are unlabeled; improper cooling methods observed for tomatoes, cooked shrimp, raw beef, raw chicken, lettuce, refried beans, and beef tongue; metal pans on shelf in dish area are stacked while still wet; pans on shelf in dry storage area in back kitchen are not stored inverted; cutting boards on cook line and in kitchen prep area are heavily scratched; lowboy unit on cook line has a torn gasket and water pooling in it; racks in dry storage area are rusty; observed debris under grill and on hood filters on cook line; ceiling vent above dish area and on cook line are dusty; floor tiles in kitchen and in dish area are cracked; wall behind cook line is deteriorating; ceiling tiles in the kitchen are not easily cleanable.

Sloop John B, 1420 North Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cook line hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; bar dish machine isn’t sanitizing; no dates found on pico, pickled onions, sauces or slaw; spray cleaner incorrectly stored on shelf with food; open tub of ice cream and desserts in walk-in freezer are not being protected; spray hose, walk-in freezer floor, and lower wall in dish area are dirty.

Ginger Juice, 7021 Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; temperature of avocado/chickpea mix is elevated; surface on shelf on work table between make tables is rusty; facility couldn’t provide chlorine test papers; floor in back is in poor repair; molding in kitchen is loose; there is no light inside walk-in room used as a storeroom; did not observe a “no smoking” sign posted.

Wendy’s, 4026 Glenside Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: salads in service line unit have exceeded their four-hour cooling time; temperature of sliced tomatoes is elevated; sliced tomatoes and other items on service line are not time marked; gasket on lowboy cooler at drive-thru is torn; observed dust and grease buildup on surfaces of monitors, cables, wire storage racks in walk-in cooler, containers in reach-in coolers and hot holding units.
