World of Beer, 11600 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed a can beverage near the tea urns (drinks should be kept in a cup with lid and straw); clean pans have old sticker pieces on them; temperature of one pan of beer cheese on the steam table is too low; sanitizer concentration is too low in sani bucket; cutting boards on the line are stained and scratched; observed buildup on sides of refrigerators and cook line equipment; beer cooler and walk-in cooler fan grates are dusty; observed dust on the bottom tier of the clean dish rack; fry freezer needs to be swept out; observed food debris on walk-in cooler racks; bug curtain and ceiling vent near dish area are dusty; there is a dark substance on the floor under the CO2 system cannisters; observed mildew behind the dishwasher; cook line floor and pipes behind equipment are greasy.

Hangry Joe’s, 1501 North Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is evidence of employees eating in the kitchen; observed employee drinks without lids and straws in several areas; observed an employee wash hands in the prep sink (handwashing is to be done at hand sinks only); observed an employee remove soiled gloves and put on new gloves without first washing hands; hand sinks don’t have paper towels; sanitizer level at three-compartment sink is insufficient; a large pot has a dirty spot inside; temperatures of cheese slices, raw nuggets and waffle batter are elevated; macaroni and cheese and cabbage slaw are not date marked; breading and tapioca are on a time control policy but the time is not being tracked; several spray bottles of cleaner are unlabeled; dry goods are unlabeled; a large open container of waffle batter is not being protected from debris; employees’ long hair is not being restrained; a dirty wet cloth is sitting out on the prep table instead of being stored in a sanitizer solution; sanitizer concentration is too low in sani bucket; ice cream scoop and syrup stirrers incorrectly stored in standing water; a dual check valve is not installed on the mop sink.

Torque Club at Richmond Raceway, 600 East Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of several pans of chicken in the walk-in cooler is elevated because the pans are covered tightly while cooling; single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; observed dried food debris and grease on surfaces of fryers, wire racks in walk-in cooler and fan grates; light fixtures near three-compartment sink are not working; observed grime and food debris on floors under three-compartment sink and at the bar.

Noodles & Company, 4101 Dominion Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dark buildup on ice chute of freestyle Coke machine; temperatures of chicken and tomato soups are too low because they were not reheated to the proper temperature before being placed in the steam table; spatulas incorrectly stored in standing water; cutting boards on dish rack are very worn; facility does not have a method to test the internal temperature of the high-temp dishwasher; observed debris in veggie slicer storage bins; walk-in cooler fan guards and ceiling tiles and vent over the cook line are dusty; floors under equipment are soiled.

Taco Bell, 7210 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: grease residue found on surfaces of containers and utensils stored on dry rack near fryers; observed mildew buildup inside chute and outside surfaces of beverage machine at drive-thru; tomatoes and lettuce are overfilled on the line; observed buildup of grease, food debris and dust on warmers, monitors, handles, wrapper holders, burrito presses and touchpads; observed buildup of encrusted food and grease on several containers in use and stored on racks; mops are not being hung to air dry; observed grease and food debris on floor under fryers and on drive-thru beverage dispensers.

Original Gino’s Pizza, 10444 Ridgefield Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in front of house doesn’t have handwash signage posted; container of garlic inside a strainer found in hand sink near dish area (hand sinks are for handwashing only); temperature of marinara is elevated because it was left out on the line; temperature of chicken wings prepped earlier is elevated because they are improperly cooling in deep containers covered in saran wrap; temperatures of garlic and oil and sliced tomatoes are elevated; knives incorrectly stored in between crevices of sandwich unit on cook line; to-go trays are not stored inverted; racks in chemical storage area are rusty; lowboy unit on front line has torn gasket; cutting boards on cook line are heavily scratched; observed buildup/dust/debris on hood filters on cook line, light bulb, sides of vent above convection oven, fan guards in walk-in cooler and on racks in dry storage area; floor tiles are cracked in front of house and under grill on cook line; there is low grouting on floors in front of house where reach-in drink coolers and cash register are located.

McDonald’s, 9751 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink next to hot holding station doesn’t have paper towels; observed pink and black mold on plastic panel of ice machine near drive-thru; observed buildup on can opener blade near dish area; temperature of fried chicken in warmer units is too low; temperature of raw shell eggs is elevated because they are sitting out; temperature of milk shake mix in front reach-in is elevated; multiple small and large flies found throughout the facility; spoons and to-go trays are not stored inverted; reach-in unit near fryers and lowboy unit under espresso machine have torn gaskets; door on lowboy unit is not closing properly; observed ice accumulation around fans and door in walk-in freezer; observed debris/buildup on shelves under soda machine in front dining area; wheels under fryers on cook line are greasy; fan guards in walk-in cooler, ceiling tiles in front drive-thru area, and ceiling vents in back of facility are dusty; debris found on racks throughout; observed buildup under and behind equipment in front drive-thru area; hand sink near drive-thru is slow to drain; there is standing liquid on floors under ice machine in back of facility; observed grease/debris/buildup on floors under fryers, in drive-thru area, under counters, on walls behind equipment in front drive-thru, and on floors of walk-in freezer; there is low grouting on floors in dish area in back of facility.

Empanadas Market, 1110 Westbriar Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: quaternary ammonium sanitizer level in three-compartment sink is too low; observed buildup and rust on three scoops stored clean; cutting boards on shelf under prep table are heavily scratched; reach-in freezer next to convection oven has torn gasket; observed gap in between hood filters; one light bulb is out at hood system where convection ovens are located; observed dust/debris on clean rack near three-compartment sink and on cart next to cook line.

Sistar Seafood, 4844 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: buckets of steamed crab incorrectly stored on floor in walk-in cooler; observed crumbs in bottom of prep unit; outside of crab walk-in cooler door is rusty; mops are not being hung to air dry.

JS Lakeside Tavern, 5406 Lakeside Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; hand sink was blocked and has dishes in it; bar hand sink has ice in it (hand sinks are for handwashing only); plates are being stored with food contact surface exposed; observed dried food debris and grime on all surfaces of reach-in refrigerator, unused fryer, inside utensil bins and on shelves in kitchen; coving outside the walk-in cooler is in disrepair; observed grease buildup on hood system.
