Corner Bakery Café, 11000 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of pancake batter kept on ice on the cook line is elevated; carafe at the self-service coffee station has no label or time sticker; silicone spatulas at the three-compartment sink appear burnt and pitted on the hands; cutting boards at the make tables are stained and scratched; observed areas of low grout with standing water in the back kitchen; ceiling tiles over the panini press are discolored due to the lack of a hood.

Fountain of Yuice, 4354 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; no paper towels; sea moss is not from an approved source; date markings are not correct; sanitizer bottles are unlabeled; sanitizer bucket was not prepared properly; facility doesn’t have test strips for sanitizer.

Lehja Restaurant, 11800 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee drink has a lid but no straw (lid has an open hole for drinking straw); hot water at employee restroom hand sink doesn’t reach 100 degrees; bar hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; pan of raw salmon incorrectly stored on top of a box of onions in the walk-in; observed dark buildup on soda gun nozzle at the bar; ice machine has mildew; leaky bottle of lotion incorrectly stored on prep counter; bags of onions incorrectly stored on the kitchen floor; bar utensils are incorrectly stored in standing water; take-out food containers are not stored inverted on the cook line; single-use plastic containers are being used as scoops inside of foods in the walk-in and at dry storage; one light is burned out under the hood system; refrigerated drawers at the grill and one reach-in freezer are broken and not in use; walk-in racks are dusty; all cutting boards are brown and yellowed with deep scratches; facility does not have an irreversible thermometer for checking temperature in the dishwasher; nearly all non-food contact surfaces are dirty; observed excessive food debris on blender; blood is pooled inside the reach-in freezer; observed grime in utensil storage bins; shelves are dusty; observed a leak under the spray sink and at the bar hand sink faucet; walls and floors in kitchen are filthy; raw meat bits and veggie pieces are scattered on the floor in the prep area; walls have old food splatter and sauce drippings on them; vents at the back prep area are coated in dust.

Rusty Taco, 11525 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee drink without a lid or straw found on windowsill; plastic container found in hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); observed debris on can opener blade; temperature of salsa is elevated; personal medication incorrectly stored near food; single-service boats are not stored inverted; observed debris in the lowboy units; floor drain under the spray sink is dirty.

Tropical Smoothie Café, 4501 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: incorrect sanitizer level at three-compartment sink; ice buckets are not stored inverted so there is water pooling at the bottom; racks throughout the kitchen are rusty, dusty and/or dirty; cutting boards on the prep units and single-use green cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; smoothie prep unit is covered in food debris and buildup on the inside; observed low grouting on floors in back of kitchen; floors of walk-in and under three-compartment sink are dirty and have water pooling.

Wingstop, 4501 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of blanched fries is elevated; incorrect sanitizer level at three-compartment sink; cardboard and garbage receptacles in the outdoor refuse area are not closed/covered; wet mop is sitting in the mop sink instead of hanging to air dry.

Wendy’s, 5212 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dish area hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; no time marks found on fried onions, chicken or spicy chicken; multiple metal lids are in disrepair; wet mop is sitting in an empty mop bucket instead of hanging to air dry; observed grease buildup behind the fryer; wall coving is damaged in small storage room; there are gaps in hood vents; observed low grouting in walk-in cooler; there is significant ice buildup in walk-in freezer.

Noodles & Company, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw chicken incorrectly stored on garlic bread; bag of bowls incorrectly stored on the floor; the data plate on the dish machine is for a low temp unit and this machine is a high temp unit; support to flat top is greasy; saute area is dusty and rusty; grout throughout the kitchen is dirty; cove tiles, pipes under equipment, floor by the oven and walls in the dish area are dirty; there isn’t a light above the mop area.

Chick-fil-A at The Shops at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of cut romaine prepped this morning is elevated because it has exceeded its four-hour cooling time; temperatures of cherries and milk in front small reach-in are elevated; mixer splash is soiled.

Burger King, 8801 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed employees touching ready-to-eat fries with bare hands as they were put into cartons; three containers of sliced tomatoes are covered and stacked in the walk-in cooler to cool (improper cooling method); observed grease and food debris buildup on many surfaces (fryers, warmers, inside reach-in coolers and freezers, monitors, cables, wire storage racks, touchpads near fryers, cup holders, bread racks, hood systems, floors and walls); proper backflow prevention device is not installed at mop sink; ceiling panels and vents are dusty.

HobNob, 6010 Hermitage Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: open drink found on prep top; hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; four plastic containers of oysters have no identification (oysters should be in original container with shipper/packer label); no sanitizer detected at the dish machine or in sanibucket; temperatures of grits and soup in hot-holding units are too low; knives, forks and spoons with handles are not being stored inverted; cutting boards on smaller units are heavily scratched and stained; racks in the walk-in have mildew; racks throughout the facility need cleaning; observed buildup of food/grime inside units, outside units and on some prep table legs.

Waffle House, 5102 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility could not provide a certified food protection manager certificate; temperatures of ham, cheese, tomatoes and potatoes on the cook line are elevated; waffle batter and hydrated potatoes in the walk-in do not have date marks; sanitizer in metal bin on the line is not labeled with the common name; sugar on the line is unlabeled; bottom of glass door reach-in units are dirty and water is pooling.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 8955 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: green single cutting boards are heavily scratched; observed dust buildup on monitors, cables, and fan grate in walk-in cooler; floors in the kitchen are no longer smooth and easily cleanable.

McDonald’s, 11218 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee wearing gloves touch raw meat and then touch a spray bottle near the grill without removing gloves or washing hands; open package of ham incorrectly stored in the raw burger drawer; ice machine has a pink film on it; soda nozzles in the dining room have buildup; lowboy unit has torn gasket and rusty rack; observed a dark sticky spot on the floor under drive-thru; observed grease buildup under the fryers.

Bella Luna, 1212 Concord Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soda nozzles have buildup of mold; noodles, sauce and grilled chicken are not date marked; observed a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor in dry storage; small prep unit has torn gasket; racks throughout are rusty; dish machine is in disrepair; homestyle fridge doesn’t appear to be working properly; gaskets, inside and outside of units need cleaning; observed buildup of grime on handles and parts of three-compartment sink and dish machine; wet mop in back storage is not hanging to air dry.
