Jackie’s on Laburnum, 1241 North Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee handle raw animal products and switch tasks without washing hands; temperatures of rice and mashed potatoes in reach-in prepared yesterday are elevated; wings and wingettes are being held on time but there is not a written time control policy in place; menu lists catfish but swai was found in the freezer; shelf lining is damaged; lowboy unit has torn gasket; fryer baskets are in disrepair; observed dried food debris and/or dust buildup on can opener blade and holder, fans, outside of ice machine and in storage bins; three-compartment sink has a leak; women’s restroom doesn’t have a covered trash bin; grease and food debris found under and behind the fryer; floor throughout the kitchen is heavily damaged.

Classic’s, 4820 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no sanitizer detected in bucket; cutting board on prep unit is heavily scratched and stained; walk-in cooler has torn gasket.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 4450-A South Laburnum Avenue – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: temperature of sliced cheese on the line is elevated.

Bartizan, 4035 Whittall Way – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: dish machine at bar and dish machine in the main kitchen are both not dispensing sanitizer; interior of ice machine is soiled; utensils at the saute station are incorrectly stored in sanitizer; cutting board at the bar is heavily scratched.

Waffle House, 8400 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: bucket, pan and spoons found in front hand sink during inspection (hand sinks are for handwashing only); did not observe a written time on eggs over the grill; ice scoops are touching ice in front bin; observed food debris in drawers under prep top; observed buildup on gaskets in units; observed standing water in unit.

Boni Roni BBQ, 3016-A Mountain Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: BBQ made three days ago is not date marked.

Jack’s Place, 1881 Darbytown Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sinks are missing paper towels and soap; raw burger patties incorrectly stored above cooked chicken; potato/fry slicer is dirty with food debris greater than one day old; temperatures of meatloaf, rice, fish filet, gumbo and potato wedges on hot holding unit are too low; hot holding unit is not keeping foods at the correct temperature; temperatures of tomatoes and lettuce cut yesterday are elevated; no date marks written on tomatoes, lettuce or chicken prepped yesterday; bug killer spray incorrectly stored next to lemon juice; meat incorrectly thawing at room temperature; to-go fried chicken is only labeled with price (add net weight, production, ingredients and allergens); potatoes incorrectly stored on the floor in dry storage; fryer baskets have grease/carbon buildup; floors, especially edges and corners, are very dirty in the kitchen and dry storage; there isn’t enough ventilation over chicken fryer in the back.

Hillbilly Reds BBQ, 353 East Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: microwave is dirty with food debris; cutting board on the cook line is heavily scratched with stains in the deep groves; two lights are out under the hood; prep unit on the cook line is broken; fryer baskets have heavy grease/carbon buildup.

Wong’s Tacos, 201 Maltby Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw poke incorrectly stored next to ready-to-eat items in the make table; sanibucket concentration in the prep area is lower than 150 ppm; single-service to-go containers and lids are not stored inverted on the line; mop is not being hung to dry.

Garnish, 8574 Sanford Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: certified food protection manager certificate is expired; observed several dented cans on can rack; ceiling and vents are dusty.

Groovin’ Gourmets, 8501 Sanford Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: several wire storage racks in storage and walk-in coolers are rusty; containers on shelves are cracked; observed dust and food debris on counters, spice racks, utensil storage bins, and fan grates in walk-in coolers; some containers have old labels; there is a leak under hand sink near walk-in freezer; observed dust on ceiling fan and vents; observed food debris on floor and backsplash on cook line.

Stuffy’s Sub Shop, 9780 Gayton Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have a certified food protection manager; packages of raw bacon incorrectly stored in between box of lettuce and turkey in walk-in cooler; quaternary ammonium sanitizer level is greater than 200 ppm at three-compartment sink; two scoops stored clean have food debris on them; temperatures of meatballs in crockpot and bacon on grill are too low; temperatures of chicken double panned in prep top unit and cheese in prep top unit are elevated; lowboy unit on front line has a torn gasket; cutting boards throughout the facility are heavily scratched; fan guard in walk-in cooler is dusty; ice is accumulating in the chest freezer; shelf under hand sink, top of oven and to-go tray on shelf under grill need cleaning; floor tile under prep table is cracked; there is chipped paint and holes in the wall next to the kitchen entrance door and in dry storage; did not observe grill under hood system in front of house.

Go’Dragon Asian Grill, 4945 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: rice scoops found in hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); back hand sink is blocked; observed chicken frying process with deep containers of chicken sitting at room temperature for an extended time; multiple containers of food incorrectly stored on floor of walk-in freezer; cardboard is being used as a food contact surface in egg roll bins; cardboard and foil are incorrectly lining shelves; observed dried food debris, grime and/or dust on several surfaces (on white food bins, sides of cooking equipment, around pans of hot line, on shelves in walk-in cooler and on fan grates in walk-in); light in hood system is burned out; observed dried food debris and grease buildup on floors.

Last Stop, 4106 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; there are no paper towels at kitchen hand sink; facility doesn’t have sanitizer test strips.

Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 11237 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hot water at hand sinks did not initially reach 100 degrees; packaged raw meat and unpackaged raw salmon incorrectly stored next to uncovered fresh mozzarella in refrigerated drawer; temperatures of spaghetti and penne made the previous night are elevated because they were not properly cooled; temperatures of meatballs and sliced mozzarella on the cook line are elevated; no time stamp found on mezzi tubetti; mahi mahi and salmon incorrectly thawing in reduced-oxygen packaging; cutting boards are heavily scratched; leaks found at prep sink and cooling prep sink; floor at cook line is soiled with food debris under equipment; grout is worn, especially on cook line; a couple of light bulbs are burned out; hood filters above the range are heavily soiled.
