TGI Friday’s, 7023 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: paper towel dispenser in women’s restroom is not working properly; observed mold on ice chutes of ice machine near prep area in kitchen; temperatures of Cajun butter, dumplings and cheese are elevated; improper cooling method used for pasta that was portioned and placed in drawers on the cook line; in-use utensils stored in hot water on cook line (water temperature is not hot enough); plastic lids in prep area are not being stored inverted; reach-in freezer on cook line and walk-in cooler in prep area have torn gaskets; racks next to reach-in freezer are rusty; cutting boards in prep area are heavily scratched; fan guards in all walk-in coolers and fan next to hand sink in dish area are dusty; observed debris on rack in reach-in unit, under melter, inside single-serve containers on cook line, on bottom of reach-in freezer, outside of metal pans stored clean, on racks throughout the facility, on top of dish machine, in between equipment in prep area, and on floor corners; observed debris/grease in between and behind equipment on the cook line, on hood filters, pipes behind equipment, under fryers, in between gaskets on all refrigeration units, on shelves throughout the cook line, and under grill on cook line; mop sink and hose under dish area do not have the proper backflow prevention device installed; women’s employee restroom in kitchen doesn’t have a covered trash can; multiple storage items not being used in back of facility should be removed; observed low grouting on floors throughout the facility; floor tiles on cook line and under three-compartment sink are cracked; baseboard tiles behind ice machine are coming off; wall paint next to women’s restroom is chipping; there are holes in the wall where storage/walk-in freezer are located; observed standing water on floor under three-compartment sink; wall behind three-compartment sink is stained.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 4930 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed grime buildup on ice dispenser of self-serve drink machine; temperatures of vegan chorizo, vegan meat and steak on the serving line are below the proper temperature; observed a leak at victory wash connection and sink.

Big Chile, 10184 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: improper cooling methods used for cooked corn in prep top unit and ground pork in a covered container; bottles of water and oil and containers of sugar are unlabeled; wooden cutting board used for cutting meat is scratched; rice in hot holding unit is not in a food-grade bag.

Baskin-Robbins, 5510 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dried food debris on can opener blade, in cabinets, and on counter by the waffle maker; grime found inside of ice machine (back corners); mop sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; observed dust, food debris and grime on floors, especially along pipes and equipment.

First Watch, 8621 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility doesn’t have written procedures for cleaning up vomiting/diarrhea; temperatures of pico in cups, sausage in bags, goat cheese in cups, chicken in bags and cracked eggs in cups on the line are elevated; temperature of prepared pancake batter found stacked and covered in the walk-in is elevated because it was not cooled properly; some dry goods are unlabeled; glassware is stacked wet; there’s a leak under the three-compartment sink.

MOD Pizza, 5466 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: improper cooling methods used for pans of red sauce and sausage in walk-in cooler; single cutting boards are heavily scratched and stained; facility doesn’t have an irreversible registering thermometer to test the dish machine; observed dust and debris on wire racks, shelves and fan grate in walk-in cooler; sauce bottles are heavily stained; observed flour and dust buildup on service line walls; food debris found on floors in walk-in cooler and under prep tables.

Golden Skillet, 345 East Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee handle raw liver, change gloves and start a new task without washing hands; more than six heavily dented cans of green beans found in dry storage; raw eggs incorrectly stored over mac and cheese in walk-in cooler; flour is uncovered in dry storage; chlorine level at three-compartment sink is below the required 50 ppm; temperature of gravy made yesterday in the lowboy is not at the appropriate temperature; 10 cartons of potato salad and mac salad in the walk-in cooler are past their expiration dates; a time control policy is used for chicken, fries, wedges and chicken batter but no times are marked; boxes of oil, soda bottles and water bottles are incorrectly stored on the floor; observed soiled cardboard on warmer shelves and shelf across from office; women’s restroom doesn’t have a covered trash can; ceiling in walk-in cooler is dusty; back wall is damaged; low grouting found.

Kabob Place, 8906-G West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge is unable to identify the “big six” foodborne illnesses and their associated symptoms; no handwashing signage posted at hand sinks in restrooms; hand sink in kitchen is not draining properly; raw chicken incorrectly stored over raw Swai fillets in walk-in cooler; microwave is dirty; temperature of lettuce/tomato salad is elevated because it was sitting out at room temperature; no date marks found on rice, beef karahi, spinach and potatoes made recently in walk-in cooler; several bottles of cleaning products in the kitchen are unlabeled; bulk bins of sugar, salt and flour and salt on the cook line are unlabeled; observed several small flies near the spices on the cook line; sauce with cilantro in buckets, onions and bulk sugar, salt and flour are incorrectly stored on the floor; a cloth material that is not easily cleanable is used to make naan bread; front walk-in cooler and ice machine are broken; a light is out under the hood; racks near three-compartment sink and chemical storage area under three-compartment sink are dirty; there is low/no grouting on floors; back wall under three-compartment sink needs cleaning.

Arilang Sushi, 2239 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: shell eggs incorrectly stored above lettuce in prep refrigerator; cream cheese and kani do not have date marks; time is not being tracked for sushi rice on a time policy; tuna improperly thawing in reduced-oxygen packaging.

Ginger Juice, 7021 Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility is unable to provide proof of a certified food protection manager; observed food debris on juicer blade; coffee, oats, blender, bags of single-service bottles and equipment are incorrectly stored on the floor; tray on water heater has rust particles; mop sink faucet is dripping; wall behind dish machine is peeling; floor is peeling; wall behind juicer is rusty; no light inside walk-in being used as a storeroom.

Qdoba, 4501 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dirty wiping cloths in back hand sink (hand sinks are for handwashing only); temperatures of pork, beef, brisket and soup are too low; sanitizer level in bucket under the grill was not at the required 300 ppm; salt container on shelf is unlabeled; rolling racks in front of kitchen are rusty and dirty; lowboy next to grill has a torn gasket; several single cutting boards and one on prep unit on the line are heavily scratched and stained; observed heavy crumb buildup on chip drawers; observed leaks at three-compartment sink and mop sink.

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, 4402 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: neither hand sink has paper towels; temperatures of raw nuggets and several batters are elevated; several batters in the walk-in cooler are marked with the wrong date or have no date mark written on them; handles of sugar and ice scoops near front service window are incorrectly stored in the product; chicken table is not keeping food at the proper temperature; several areas are dirty and need cleaning (hand sinks, racks of biscuit reach-in, rolling rack near the back door, bottom of reach-in unit, chicken prep tables, floor of walk-in cooler, prep line floor, floor near three-compartment sink); water is pooling under the hot water dispenser, in the walk-in cooler and in dry storage area; mop sink doesn’t have the appropriate backflow prevention device installed; floor drains are full of food debris.
