Relationship Foundation names Funding Father, Father Figure award-winners

Henrico-based Relationship Foundation of Virginia recently recognized two local men as part of its 2021 Funding Fathers campaign, which raised money and awareness for the organization.
Jeff Crook of Village Bank was named the group’s “Funding Father of the Year,” while Jeff Katz of WRVA-AM was named its “Father Figure of the Year.”
Katz raised more than $18,000 – the most in the history of the event – while Crook raised nearly $12,000.
The organization selected 11 fathers (who were chosen for their commitment to their families and the community) to raise money through late August in a variety of ways, including through virtual spots, events and outreach. Collectively, they secured more than $77,000 for the Relationship Foundation. Participants and their families and supporters gathered at The Diamond Aug. 28 to celebrate the effort.
“To say that I am blown away by the hard work of these dads is an understatement,” said Relationship Foundation Executive Director Chris Beach.
