The Henrico County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension will begin accepting registrations March 27 for the 2025 Henrico Junior 4-H Camp, which will be held from July 28 through Aug. 1 at the Jamestown 4-H Educational Center near Williamsburg.

The residential camp, open to boys and girls ages 9 through 13, is designed to provides a fun, safe environment to learn, make friends and discover the outdoors through activities, such as swimming, archery, canoeing, basketball, volleyball, forestry, shooting education, campfires, crafts, marine science and skits.

The Extension Office will host an informational session March 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Belmont Recreation Center, 1600 Hilliard Road. Families will be able to learn more about the camp, register for 4-H Online and make payments to complete the registration process.

The $390 cost to attend the camp includes meals and lodging for five days and four nights, programs, class materials and a camp t-shirt. Transportation is not provided. Scholarship assistance may be available.

The Jamestown 4-H Educational Center offers woods and open spaces along the James River as well as amenities that include air-conditioned lodges and cabins, archery and rifle ranges, a swimming pool, a river pier and an aquatics resource center.

Accredited by the American Camp Association, the camp is supervised by adult and teen counselors and a staff that includes lifeguards, recreational leaders, a dietician and a medical attendant.
