Rebekah L. Taylor of the Henrico County Police Division was recently named a 2021 Old Dominion Emergency Medical Service Alliance Regional EMS Award winner.

One of 11 first responders and front-line workers celebrated at a virtual ceremony Oct. 26 on Facebook Live, Taylor won the Regional EMS Award for Outstanding Contribution to EMS Telecommunication.

The full recording of the live broadcast can be found on the ODEMSA Facebook page at facebook.com/OldDominionEMS. The event was presented as a mock news broadcast with each award category receiving a news story and the winner’s announcement. The ODEMSA Staff acted as field reporters and news anchors.  During the broadcast, staff members recognized 11 outstanding individuals and organizations from Virginia Health Planning Districts 13, 14, 15, and 19 for their exceptional achievements and dedication to the Emergency Medical Services system across the ODEMSA region, state, and nation.

All of the regional level award-winners automatically move into the running for this year’s Governor’s EMS Awards that will be held by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services Nov. 6.
