More than 500 runners competed in the Regency Mile at Regency mall Oct. 29, and more than 1,000 people attended the event, which was produced by the Live Red Foundation. LRF provides free fitness programs that teach life skills to more than 8,000 children annually in Richmond's lowest-opportunity neighborhoods using funding generated in large part by events like the Regency Mile, which also provide a chance for local children and families to get active.

Live Red Foundation donated $2,300 from Regency Mile entry fees back to local schools’ physical education departments.
