RAR honors 2017 annual award recipients and welcomes 2018 leadership

The Richmond Association of Realtors held its annual Installation reception and awards ceremony Dec. 11 at The Jefferson Hotel and honored recipients of the Richmond Association of Realtors awards, in addition to welcoming new members of the RAR/CVR MLS Board of Directors.

Recipients of the 2017 Richmond Association of Realtors awards include: John Finn (United Real Estate Richmond), Realtors of the Year Award;  Erik Colley (ERA Woody Hogg & Associates), A. Kenton Muhleman, Jr. Scholarship Award (a.k.a. “Rookie of the Year” Award); Sue Farrell (Joyner Fine Properties) Civic Leader of the Year Award; Libby Clawson Gatewood (Napier Realtors ERA) The Laverne A. Boschen, Jr., Educator of the Year Award; Leigh Hulcher (Napier Realtors ERA) Adrian L. Bendheim, Jr., Sales Associate of the Year.

Susan Swink, of Long & Foster Realtors, is the 2018 president of the RAR and CVR MLS. Joining Swink in leading the association and CVR MLS in 2018 will be president-elect for RAR and CVR MLS Curt Reichstetter, with Joyner Fine Properties; RAR Vice President Wayne Gauthier, Joyner Fine Properties; CVR MLS Vice President Steve Overgard, with RE/MAX Commonwealth; and Immediate Past President of RAR/CVRMLS John O’Reilly, with Better Homes & Gardens Base Camp.

Newly elected RAR and CVR MLS Board of Directors members are: Kathie Braswell, 1st Choice Realty Group, LLC; Blake Eudailey, Real Living Eudailey Real Estate; Philip Innes, RE/MAX Commonwealth; Tom Innes, RE/MAX Commonwealth; Beth Lane, Metropolitan Real Estate; Dare Tulloch, Virginia Properties a Long & Foster company; Elizabeth Weis, United Real Estate Richmond; Raffi Bandazian, Bandazian & Company; Mary Sigmon, Hob Sigmon Realty; and Libby Gatewood, Napier Realtors ERA.  They will join returning board members Gail Allor, Bradley Boykin. Don Carnesi, Marianne Donahue, Brett Harris, Becky Hatch, Rhonda Howlett, and Karen Smith.
