Public Notice – Regional Strategic Plan

The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission, also known as PlanRVA, has developed a regional Strategic Plan as required by Code of Virginia section 15.2-4209. The region covered by this Strategic Plan includes Richmond, Ashland, and the counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, and Powhatan. To promote orderly and efficient development, the Strategic Plan addresses subjects of regional importance including transportation, economic development and environmental management. The PlanRVA Commission will consider adoption of the Strategic Plan at its meeting on June 12, 2025, from 9:30-11 a.m. More information about this Strategic Plan and other regional planning initiatives you can give input on will be shared at a Regional Symposium on March 13, 2025.
