Public input sought about FY 2023 budget for Henrico Schools

Henrico Schools officials are seeking public input about their general fund spending plan for fiscal year 2023, which will begin July 1 and will include the 2022-23 school year.
There are two ways to share your views about funding for HCPS programs and initiatives:
• through a form available online through Dec. 10 at www.henricoschools.us/budget-finance;
• by signing up to speak in person Dec. 9 at a public input session; sign up by Dec. 8 at 4:30 p.m. by emailing Cathy Harris, clerk of the School Board, at cdharris1@henrico.k12.va.us. The public input session will be held Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m., before the School Board’s monthly meeting at New Bridge Learning Center auditorium at 5915 Nine Mile Road in eastern Henrico County.
Speakers who sign up in advance for the Dec. 9 meeting may not transfer their speaking spot to anyone else. The School Board will limit comments to one member of each household. Anyone who is providing public comment on behalf of a group may speak and then provide the board with copies of written comments from each member of their group. Each speaker will be limited to two minutes.
