Pregnant woman shot in Highland Springs home

Henrico Police are investigating after a pregnant woman was shot in her home in Highland Springs Jan. 28. The shooting happened in the 100 block of North Cedar Avenue just before midnight. Police do not believe the shooting was random.
The victim, in her 20s, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the stomach. A man also was taken to the hospital with an injury, but police are not certain how he was hurt. The condition of the victims was unknown.
