Prayer vigil for fallen Henrico officer set Monday night

A prayer vigil for fallen Henrico Police Officer Trey M. Sutton has been scheduled for Monday, April 4, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Henrico Police memorial at the county's western government center complex, at 7712 East Parham Road.
Former Henrico Police Chaplain Joe Ellison, Jr. and Pastor Fred Wyatt of Speaking Spirits Ministries will lead the vigil. Speakers also will include Henrico County Manager John Vithoulkas, Henrico Police Chief Eric English and Fairfield District Supervisor Frank Thornton. Members of the Sutton family are expected to attend but not address attendees. The event is open to the public.
Sutton died last week from injuries suffered when the police cruiser he was driving was involved in a crash with another vehicle at the Wilkinson Road-Chamberlayne Road intersection in Northern Henrico.
Visitation and funeral arrangements for Sutton were set last week.
