Chesterfield Police shared information about a police pursuit that started on Route 10, near Route 1, in Chester and ended across the James River at an eastern Henrico County home.
"At about 8 p.m. on Jan. 21, an officer saw a red truck on top of the median sideways before it spun tires and fishtailed over a sidewalk," a Chesterfield Police spokesperson told CBS 6. The officer turned around to make a traffic stop on the truck, and he saw the truck hit a sign in the median and accelerate rapidly, fishtailing and almost striking citizen vehicles as it headed east on Route 10.
When the officer caught up to the truck near Old Stage Road and initiated the traffic stop, police said the driver did not stop.
