The Adopt Haiti Project hosted the Caribbean American Heritage Festival and Parade June 24 at Dorey Park in Varina. The event, organized to commemorate Caribbean American Heritage month, showcased the culture, food, art, dance, music and diversity of Caribbean nations. Attendees enjoyed a number of live performances, food, vendors, a children’s area featuring arts and crafts, and giveaways.
The festival began with a parade themed “Carnivale Spirit,” led by Natural Vyb, a Caribbean American Carnival Band.
