One of Metro Richmond's most popular attractions – the Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights – returns this weekend to Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Lakeside. The garden transforms its grounds into a winter wonderland with millions of lights, botanical decorations, model trains, festive dinners, hot chocolate and s’mores, and more. The exhibit is open to members only Nov. 17-19 and then opens to the general public Nov. 20. It will remain open through Jan. 7, 2024, closed only on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
