Patrick Henry – Ashland trips Varina in tenacious tussle 22-21

Patrick Henry – Ashland wasted no time, pushing in front and finishing in the same fashion during this 22-21 victory over Varina in Virginia high school football on October 29.

Both teams traded salvos in the final period, but Patrick Henry – Ashland had enough offense to deny Varina in the end.

The Patriots moved ahead of the Blue Devils 22-13 as the fourth quarter started.

The Patriots registered a 14-13 advantage at halftime over the Blue Devils.

Varina showed it was ready to play, using an early thrust to carve out a 7-2 advantage over Patrick Henry – Ashland as the first quarter ended.
