The grant will be distributed over three years and will help PFF enhance its existing programs that focus on educational equity and higher education as a tool for closing the wealth gap. The funding is designed to help PFF to reach more students at risk of being left behind and ensure they have the support and resources needed to achieve their college and career goals.

“We are proud to support Partnership for the Future in their vital work of transforming the lives of young people through education,” said Reginald Gordon, president and CEO of Richmond Memorial Health Foundation. “This grant underscores our commitment to fostering equitable opportunities and improving our community’s overall health and well-being. By investing in education, we believe we are laying the foundation for a healthier and more prosperous future for all.”

PFF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing college access and success support to under-resourced high school students, most of whom are the first in their families to attend college and live in economically disadvantaged communities. The organization’s comprehensive year-round program includes one-on-one mentorship, college tours, paid summer internships with Richmond-area businesses, essay writing, public speaking, a $2,000 scholarship match and more support throughout the college application process.

“We are incredibly grateful to Richmond Memorial Health Foundation for their continued support and belief in our mission,” said Dionne Henderson, president and CEO of Partnership for the Future. “This grant will have a profound impact on our ability to serve our students and help them realize their full potential. Together, we are creating pathways to success and building a stronger, more equitable community.”
