Panthers boost runners with cheers, music

Among the fans and spectators who turned out Nov. 16 to support participants in the Richmond Half Marathon were several Hermitage H.S. band members and cheerleaders.
The group was part of the CarMax Halfway Hype Zone in Bryan Park, featuring cheer squads and live musical acts along the sidelines to keep runners motivated as they neared the halfway point of the 13.1-mile race.
