One injured by fleeing car after morning shootout in Eastern Henrico parking lot

No one was injured by a shootout in the parking lot of an Eastern Henrico shopping center Monday morning, but one person was hurt after being struck by one of the suspect’s vehicles as it was leaving the scene, according to Henrico Police.

It happened at The Shops at White Oak Village, in the 4500 block of South Laburnum Avenue, shortly before 11:50 a.m. An unknown number of people were gathered around two vehicles in the parking lot near Qdoba and Olive Garden, according to police, when an argument ensued. People then began shooting at each other, but no one was struck.

A fleeing vehicle struck a person in the parking lot, and that victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Police do not yet have descriptions of any suspects or their vehicles.
