William F. “Bill” Dominick II, 92, passed away on January 18, 2025, after a brief hospitalization. Bill was born in New York City, NY, on August 5, 1932, the son of William Gayer Dominick and Elizabeth Spock. He graduated from Swarthmore College in 1955 and shortly thereafter joined the United States Navy where he served as a naval aviator until June 1960.

While at Swarthmore, Bill met Phyllis Klock, and they married on August 31, 1957. Upon leaving the Navy, Bill joined New England Life Insurance Company in Seattle, Washington. He continued his tenure with NEL in the home office in Boston, MA, and then finally settled in Richmond, VA, where he served as General Agent.

Bill was proud of his civic contributions. He was a Little League coach in MA and VA, and he raised funds for the Tuckahoe YMCA. He assisted in establishing Canterbury Recreation Association, and he returned to fundraising later in life for his alma mater and local delegates. He was also well known as the "official" social director for close neighbors.

Bill documented his two biggest loves as family and travel. He enjoyed jetting off with Phyllis to various places in the world, including Italy, China, Australia and numerous riverboat tours. He looked forward to hosting many Caribbean family reunion trips with their five children and eventually 11 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Phyllis of 67 years, Bill is survived by his five children: Steve, his wife Lisa and their daughter Jessie; Jeff, his wife Nancy and their sons Graham and Doug; Doug, his wife Claudia and their children Mike, Allena and Neithan; Susan, her husband Trip and their children Connor and Ellie; and Laurie, her husband Beau and their children Cayden, Eliza and Jackson.

A visitation of family and friends will be held at Bliley's Funeral Home, 3801 Augusta Avenue, on Saturday, January 25, from 2-3:30 pm.
