William “Doug” Neisz, of Glen Allen, passed away on September 19th, 2022.

A Memorial Service will be at 3pm on Friday, September 23rd at Woody Funeral Home on North Parham Road.

Doug was born in Glen Allen to the late Gilbert and Patsy Ann Neisz on February 22nd, 1966. He graduated High School from J.R Tucker. He married Maxine Neisz on March 20th, 1999 in Richmond, Virginia. He worked in the Finance Department of Henrico County for 10+ years.

Doug was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead and Phish. His happy place was at a concert or music festival. If you saw him at a concert, you noticed him right away by his dancing (or flailing). He was a big fan of “Nature Boy” Ric Flair (Nature Boys Fantasy Football Team), Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Pirates, UVA Cavaliers, and Appalachian State Mountaineers. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with friends and family, by grabbing a beer and chicken wings. As you know, once you met Doug, you were family. Doug never met a stranger and once he met you, he never forgot you and you never forgot him.

Doug is preceded in death by, his grandparents, the late Mr and Mrs. William Neisz, Mr. Richard Kurtz, and Mrs. Arlene Kurtz; his parents, the late Mr. Gilbert Neisz and Mrs. Patsy Ann Neisz.

Doug is survived by his loving wife Maxine and his daughter Madison. His brother Richard, and his wife Elaine. Nieces and nephews: Kristen Jabe (John), Rachel Neisz, Joseph Neisz (Melanie), Katie Passarello (Andrew), Allison DuBrule, Kyle Dickson (Olivia), and Connor DuBrule. Great-nieces and nephews, Kennedy Jabe, Lily Passarello, and Charlie Dickson. Many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends that were family to him. Lastly, his furbabies, Luna and Boots.

Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, in honor of his late Father.
