Obituary - William B. Whitlock III

Whitlock III, William B. “Bill”, of Henrico, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brock and Esther Whitlock; uncles and aunts; brother – in - law, Marvin Rodgers; and close friends, Dave Conti and Bill Elder. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances P. Whitlock; sons, William B. “Chip” Whitlock, IV and Kevin N. Whitlock (Lauren); Granddaughters, Anna Joy Whitlock “Banana”, Charlotte Grace Whitlock “The Grape” and Emily Faith Whitlock “Blueberry”; sister, Janet W. Lee; and several nieces and nephews. Bill served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam and was an active member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, teaching boating safety courses and hunting safety. He was co-owner of Willow Lawn Service Center for over 30 years, helping many people doing towing recovery, and also helping people move with rental trucks. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, August 18, at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St. Rd. Graveside services will be held 11 am, Friday, August 19 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery 4768 Shannon Hill Rd, Columbia, VA 23038.
