Obituary - Warren H. Lacy

Warren H. “Joe” Lacy, 90, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Lucille Lacy; his sister, June (Red) Garrett; and his daughter, Connie Burch. Warren is survived by his wife, Shirley Coggsdale Lacy; four children, Diane (Malcolm) Hart, Laura (Larry) Trent, Curtis Lacy and Bonnie (Skip) Henry; seven grandchildren, Christina, Rachael, Ashley, Matthew, Bethany, Jamison and Taylor; 17 great-grandchildren; his brother, Thomas (Pat) Lacy; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was a long-time member of Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union No. 100. Warren had been a faithful member of Chamberlayne Baptist Church for many years until it closed in 2021, and then he became a member of Glen Allen Baptist Church. He was a member of Northside Lodge No. 292 A.F. & A.M. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, August 11, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 215 Wilkinson Road, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, in Signal Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Glen Allen Baptist Church.
