Obituary - Virginia Dare Sheets

On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Virginia Sheets passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl; daughter, Linda; and grandchildren, Joshua and Ainsley. Virginia was born on October 4, 1932 and worked 25 years in the service industry in New Kent, VA where she touched the lives of many within the community. After retirement, she moved to Sandston, VA to live with her daughter, Pat and be closer to family. She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Larry); son, Jimmy (Beverly); daughter, Theresa (Ed); daughter Patricia (Rusty); and sister Alice.

Virginia was an avid online gamer, loved to go shopping, enjoyed playing BINGO and found solace in bird watching, but her greatest joy in life was her family; she was the matriarch of 9 grandchildren (4 bonus grandchildren), 17 great grandchildren (11 bonus great grandchildren), and 7 bonus great great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 until service time at 12, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
