Obituary - Ursula Brigitte Sorensen

Ursula Brigitte Sorensen passed away at her home in Sandston, Virginia on December 11, 2023. She was 87 years old.
Ursula was born in Frankfurt, Germany on February 19, 1936 and was preceded in death by her parents, Heinrich Epp and Henriette Epp; and brother, Hansjurgen Epp.
Ursula was an active member in the Richmond German-American community. She was also an avid gardener, traveler, and life-long learner of languages including German, English, French, and Japanese. The activity that Ursula cherished the most, however, was spending time with her beloved family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Erik Sorensen (Elizabeth). She was lovingly known as Oma to grandsons, Karl Sorensen (Ashley) and Peter Sorensen; and great grandson, Theo Sorensen. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Luise Epp. She was affectionately known as Tante Ursula to nephew, Robert Epp; niece, Viola West (Ronnie); Mary Epp; as well as five great nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lewis-Ginter Botanical Gardens or The Hospice Foundation of America.
There will be a private celebration of life in 2024.
