Tracy Annette Smith, 51, of Highland Springs, entered eternal life on May 24, 2024, peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Tracy entered this world as a light, bringing joy, and laughter into the lives of everyone around her. She grew up idyllically playing outdoors with her sister and her cousins, who were more like siblings to her. Tracy was a free spirit who often lived her life apart from conventional rules, but there was no denying the kindness and genuineness of her heart. You could always guarantee her authentic smile there to greet you and an infectious humor, whether she meant to or not, have you chuckling. She adored all children and had an affection for animals, especially cats.

Tracy’s greatest wish was for her children to flourish and discover their unique path and purpose.

Tracy is survived by her children, Joshua Smith, Elizabeth Blackmon, and Christopher Blackmon; her beloved grandson, Oliver; her parents, Joy Monger (Jerry) and John Smith (Linda); her sister, Kelly Boatwright (Ben); her nephews, Collin, Benjy, Seth, and Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Tracy is loved without measure by so many and will be missed immensely. We know she is now resting in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10 until the celebration of life at 11 A.M. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231.
