Todd David Blanton, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Richmond, VA. He was born on April 19, 1967 in Richmond.

He is survived by his parents, Ben and Toni Blanton, his brother, Christopher Thomas Blanton, sister-in-law, Julie Elizabeth Blanton, niece, Casey Elizabeth Blanton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Todd graduated from Mills Godwin High School, where he played for four years on the state championship tennis team. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Richmond.

Todd was a loving and devoted son, brother and uncle. His family was always his first priority. He studied at Second City in Chicago where he created the popular game show, Celebrity Jeopardy. He was a member of the Virginia Screenwriters and had a long and successful career in finance.

There was no trivia question he couldn’t answer and he had an unparalleled love of all kinds of music. He loved all animals, especially the family’s goldendoodle, Mickey Moo, and cat, Sunny.

What he will be remembered for most of all is the Light and Love he brought to this world and will continue to take with him wherever he goes.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home-Parham, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, VA 23229.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond SPCA.
