Theresa Barbieri, 88, of Henrico, Va passed away peacefully on Friday, December 22, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Barbieri, her parents Armando and Catherine Zamparelli, and her brother Thomas Zamparelli. She is survived by her son Steven Barbieri, daughter Janice Angerer, daughter-in- law Shari Barbieri and grandchildren Rachel Barbieri and Matthew Barbieri. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Theresa received her B.A. in Education from Queens College of CUNY in 1956 and her Masters in Special Education from C.W. Post University in 1988. She taught K-6 grade for over 40 Years. She was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed travel, bowling and bridge.
A funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 PM, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 9505 Gayton Road, Richmond, Va 23229 with visitation one hour prior followed by internment at Greenwood Memorial Garden at 12609 Patterson Ave. Richmond, Va 23238. Donations can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
