Being an avid collector, Thelma particularly took a liking to elephant and angel figurines, always finding them wherever she travelled to. She managed to see all of the state capitols, including Hawaii, and all of the county seats in Virginia. Thelma and Fred were always on the go, trying to explore the world as much as they could, travelling to places such as Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, visiting the country sides to connect with Thelma’s family heritage. While Thelma and Fred loved traveling, one of their favorite activities to do was dancing, they absolutely loved square-dancing, line dancing, and round dancing.

Thelma met the love of her life when she was 19 years old in Bedford, Va., Fred L. Wilson where they had their only son, Jeffrey Wilson. Fred, Jeffrey, and Thelma then relocated to Richmond, Va., where Fred unfortunately passed away at a young age. Later in life, she then met her second beloved husband, Woodrow A. Snead. Thelma and Woodrow created their own very special life together, seeing the world and creating precious memories together.
