Taylor Danielle Jones, 21, of Henrico, passed away on November 28, 2020. She is survived by her loving mother, Lisa Compton (Mike) and father, Carl B. Jones (Justine); Mimi & Pop, Linda & Bob Perrin; grandfather, Burt Boatwright; siblings, Bradley & Kayla; niece, Jocelyn; and her many friends at Freeman High School. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rozena Jones; great-grandparents, Corinne & Willis Spencer; great-grandmother, Annie Mae Jones; sister, Lauren; uncle, Bubba Moran; and cousin, Tanai. In 2018 Taylor was homecoming princess and the proud recipient of the Douglas S. Freeman Faculty Medallion Award, one of 10 students chosen that year. Taylor was a beautiful soul and a truly happy child. From the time she was born into this world Taylor was a strong willed, determined fighter. She never felt sorry for herself or let her disabilities define or discourage her. Taylor loved to laugh, dance, be silly and eat her favorite foods. She loved school, books, and Hannah Montana. Taylor loved life and her family and friends. She had a way of healing the hurt and sick with a smile, hug or sweet comment. Taylor lived without judgment and never worried about what others thought. She gave unsolicited hugs, kisses and provided comfort to those in need. Taylor’s sense of humor was as big as her smile. She may not have been on this earth for a long time but her impact was huge. Taylor was brave and beautiful, inside and out. A celebration of her life will take place 1:30 p.m., December 8, 2020 at Bliley’s, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond. The family wishes to thank Taylor’s incredible caregivers, Jocalynn & Diane, and the staff at St. Mary’s Hospice. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her honor to Team Sanfelippo at teamsanfilippo.org.
