Susan Cogut Mankad, 41, of Richmond, passed away on July 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Nico Alexander Mankad. She is survived by her husband, Anit Kaushik Mankad; children, Remy Benjamin Mankad, Mila Elise Mankad, Jayden Oliver Mankad, Ian Dominic Mankad; parents, Victoria and Lawrence Cogut; siblings, Catherine and Father Daniel Cogut.

Susan was a bright and shining light to all the lives she touched, in even the shortest of interactions. Her sweet and gentle spirit had shown through despite the most difficult of circumstances imaginable. She had a wonderful sense of humor and such a quick wit; she required few words to pull you into unforgettable laughter. We cherish the seconds we were in her presence.

Susan grew up in Falls Church, Virginia, attending Bishop Ireton High School, going on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science Degree at the College of William and Mary, followed by her Doctorate in Pharmacy at Medical College of Virginia. She completed a clinical pharmacy residency at University of Virginia (UVA) and proceeded to specialize in Drug Information Pharmacy, working at UVA and Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems, while making her home in Glen Allen, VA.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Bliley’s, 8510 Staples Mill Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and will be livestreamed at Click Here for Live Stream. Interment will be private.
