Steve Alan James, 62, of Henrico, Va. went to be with the Lord on October 15, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty James; brothers, Clifton James and Dennis James; sister, Diane Hall; and uncle, Estil James. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Salatielle Jean James; children, Ryan Edward James and Stephanie Alana James; sisters, Lisa James (Melvin), Gloria James, Pearl Jefferson (Lance), and Patricia Mitchell; uncles, Paul James and Raymond James (Charlene); nieces, Veronica Baugh (Rob), Ashley Bartley (Karl), and Hannah Jefferson; nephews, Brandon Crabtree (Niki) and Anthony Crabtree (Angela); aunts, Winnie James and Rosie Oxendine. Steve was known to all as a man dedicated to his long career as an automation senior service specialist with Siemen’s USA, and who loved to build computers for friends and family in his spare time. An avid reader, he was especially fond of science fiction novels. He cherished his family and had a strong faith in the Lord. The family will receive friends 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, October 20, at Bliley’s, 8510 Staples Mill Road, followed by a celebration of his life at 3 p.m.
