Stephen E. Gullins, JR known affectionately as “JR” by family and “Stevo” by friends, age 27, of Henrico, VA, and Virginia Beach, VA passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Henrico Doctors Hospital.

Stephen attended Deep Run High School where he played football, ran track, joined JROTC, and was a member of the Senior Prom Royal Court. During his Junior and Senior years of high school, Stephen studied auto body repair at the Advanced Career Education Center at Highland Springs graduating from Deep Run High School in 2016.

Stephen’s job at Auto Zone was a perfect fit for his hands-on nature and deep love of cars. He found a lot of joy in being able to work with his hands, diagnosing and fixing vehicles. For him, it wasn’t just a job, it was a passion. Whether he was working on everyday cars or tackling more complex mechanical issues, he approached each task with enthusiasm and care, always eager to learn more and improve his skills.

He had a natural talent for troubleshooting and problem-solving, which made him stand out at work. His coworkers and customers alike appreciated his patience and his ability to explain things clearly. He had a gift for making people feel comfortable, especially those who weren’t familiar with car repairs, taking the time to break things down and walk them through the process.

Stephen Earle Gullins, JR is survived by his parents, Stephen and Margaret Gullins; his sisters, Tiffany and Gabrielle Gullins; his nephew Amir Beasley; and the Gullins, Johnson, Parkinson, and Sitaniapessy Family.
