Obituary - Shirley Lee Jones

Shirley Jones, 86 of Henrico, Virgina went to be with the Lord May 24, 2022. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Debra Slater (Roy), Marion Gilbert (Lee), and Laura McCarter (Paul); 4 grandchildren Roy Slater, Jr. (Brandy), Jason Slater (Chrissie), William Butler, and Leann Butler Rodgers (Michelle); 2 great grandchildren Addison and Bella Slater.
Shirley was employed by C&P Telephone and Seaboard Coastline Railroad. She went back to school at age 43 earning her nursing degree and later retired from Bon Secours.
She loved the Lord, loved her family, and she loved the ocean. To know her was to love her.
Memorial service will be held Saturday May 28, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham Rd, Richmond, VA 23229. There will be refreshments with the family following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
